10/24: Halloween Mixtape
11/14: Band Tribute
12/05: Best of 2016 Mixtape
12/19: Christmas Mixtape

 

I think those windows are a little tight... especially considering that Nov and Dec are usually big months for travel and family gatherings. Might cause for some smaller participation.

 

You could do best of 2016 first thing next year?

 

the windows for december are tight, yeah. but i figure the christmas one is kind of a "bonus compilation." and i feel like knowing the schedule a month or two in advance is actually beneficial because you can kind of pick and choose which ones you want to do, prioritize, and work it into your schedules. it's really just a suggestion. i'll be out of the country for a couple of weeks in late november, but i am planning on working on my covers early so i don't have to miss a comp. because i'm a dork and don't want to ever miss one... haha.

 

If that's the schedule then I'd probably miss the November comp to work on the best of 2016 comp. Windows are really tight.

Besides the 2 December ones, these schedules aren't really tighter than normal, are they? I think I usually put them all about 3 weeks apart.

 

True. It seems closer the together than usual, maybe the fourth one is creating that effect.

 

Yeah, this hypothetical schedule, they're all 3 weeks apart, except the Best of 2016 and Christmas ones are only 2 weeks apart. And that's assuming people even want to do a Christmas one. If there isn't really an interest in it, we won't do one. I was thinking, for the December ones, I'd make a poll with 3 options:
For December:
- Best of 2016
- Christmas
- Both
And then whatever wins, we'd do, obviously.

 

I'm allergic to Christmas songs because I'm secretly the Grinch so I won't be doing a Christmas compilation regardless.

I work a retail job, so the Christmas time is more a frustrating time than anything else. The less I can be a part of it, the better.

 

haha I hear ya... I worked seasonal at Toys R Us last year. It was the worst.

I love the idea of a Best of 2016 compilation but agree that it would be more fitting more January, or at least an early January release

 

I am also a grinch.
