was on a big invented and damage binge a few weeks ago. both phenomenal records that are overshadowed by an unreal discography. a lot of heart breaking moments on both records and damage especially is tight as hell

 

Most of them are fall records for me, except for Clarity which is winter, Damage which is spring, and Bleed American which is summer..

 

Looking back at the release dates, theyve almost always released albums in the right season for that album. CTL is the exception for me - fall release but a spring album.

 

Damage is a late summer evening album for me

 

Revisited Damage not long ago and, damn, at 40 these lyrics hit a lot differently. Especially a song like Book of Love. Really poignant stuff.

 

i remember people hating lean when damage first came out. that remains crazy to me

 

Damn. What I wouldn’t give for a Jimmy Eat World fall album in a couple months.

 

I spontaneously bought the vinyl at a store shortly after it came out and, as I mentioned before, I’m a very casual Jimmy fan, so simply by listening to it more it low key emerged as my favorite since futures.

and as the chat has unintentionally decided, it’s a year-round record.

 

We’re going to have to wait at least 10 years to hear that Surviving b-side Ken Andrews broke down the mixing on, aren’t we? Or it’ll disappear like Jen.

I feel I may be the only person in this thread who doesn’t listen to Integrity Blues.

 

Time to fix that.

There is only one Jimmy album that everyone should skip and it is absolutely not Integrity Blues.

 

It’s not one I return to often but it’s stellar. A moody, mature album by them. The replay value is lower (aside from a few songs) but the musicianship is at their peak.

 

Top 4 is in the exact correct order, I'd knock Surviving down a few spots but other than that yeah pretty much agree with this

 

I really hope not.

 

if i'm remembering right there's 4 b-sides to that album we've never heard a thing about them releasing. cursed knowledge

 

To be clear, I’ve heard the album. I’ve never felt a pull to listen to it though. Didn’t connect with me for some reason. But I do appreciate and recognize that it’s a well-regarded and much loved JEW album.

 

Or maybe they’ll come out for the 15 year anniversary haha…wait, that’d be 10 years from now basically oh dang
