    This was fine. I like seeing fast expensive machines to vroom vroom so I enjoyed it overall. It's a pretty typical sports story, Neil Blomkamp is so damn technically proficient.

    Tries to fit a lot of plot in the name of realism and probably could have felt a little less jumpy/rapid without.

    And to be a bully for a minute (which the movie has some lame "bullying") a lot of the "this feels like a car commercial" criticism feels like dorks who think these cars are no different than a Nissan Altima.

    And pretending like I was a racer when I was driving home wasn't fulfilling, wish I didn't fucking suck at Gran Turismo

    I enjoyed this much more than expected. The plot is pretty standard underdog stuff and I wish it had some more interesting character moments (there were certainly plenty of opportunities), but ultimately the racing scenes are were this really comes to life. You can feel the full power of the cars and it becomes very immersive.

    FINALLY got around to seeing this. As a huge motorsports fan, its pretty incredible seeing the amount of inaccuracies in this film, from tracks being raced at, to the cars that actually raced in the series Jann was in, but as a film about a gamer kid moving to real-world racing, I thought it was pretty awesome to watch.
