    Better than you, sorry

They need to release a new album. The drastic change from their debut to their follow up was on Brand New’s level. Yet people were alienated instead of blown away.

    Voices is so so good.

This is one of those bands that I keep waiting on some sort of reunion/album tour. Never got to see them live back in the day and this would be a must attend show.

I remember I saw the most random line up of Silverstein, Matchbook Romance, Most Precious Blood and Rise Against at this club called the Zen Lounge in Toronto in 2003. It was above a drug store. They don't make tours like they used to!

my best friend always says 'my eyes burn' when his eyes are dry and i always sing him these lyrics

My eyes burn from these tears
You think you'd learn over these years
    Good things won't last forever
So what the hell am I supposed to do
You only wanted the things that I couldn't give to you
And you had it all anyway
So take take everything and leave me scrambling
Reaching for something that wasn't there in the first place

then i stop and we laugh because i sing it quite often

I'm one of those people. I don't know why but I just hated that album. I've given it multiple respins over the years and still can't do it.

That’s how I was/am with Say hello to sunshine(finch)—can’t understand how people like it. But here I am saying you have to give Voices another listen. Try listening to Surrender all the way through. Every single band member shines on every track—this one in particular. If that grows on you the rest will follow!

I think a lot of us felt that way about those two albums. I grabbed the Voices vinyl last year and its a great album.

I also recently revised Say Hello to Sunshine it's its fucking awesome. It's like Finch doing their best homage to Faith No More / Glassjaw at times. There's a used copy of it at a local store for $130 cdn and I'm heavily considering dropping the coin on it!

So honestly tried to listen to it again this weekend. Maybe I'm just super jaded from when it came out but still can't get into it. I get wanna be MCR vibes and I honestly don't like them either so seems like this album will just be one that's not for me.
