Just listening to Alasdair’s latest Spurs video update and it cemented the feeling I’ve had since the Kane news became more clear…

The buzz and excitement around the training grounds among players and staff regarding Ange is so positive. The players absolutely love him. And even though it’s just been pre-season games, he’s made several players better, or at least made them appear better. It’s just so ironic, so Spurs, to finally appoint the manager that can bring life into the club and then sell the club legend.

And I know some can have a bit of an eye roll reading those things about Ange. We just hired two legendary managers before him and it was shit. The Conte era got off to a promising start but the combination of him never really being sold on the project and everything in his personal life, his time with the club just became a miserable experience. It’s clearly a different vibe with Ange. He is proud to be at Spurs.

Part of me feels bad for Ange because his tenure is starting with selling Kane. But I suppose it could be spun into a positive in the sense that he can really stamp his presence from the start. He can bring in the players for his system and start a new era. It’ll be really interesting to see how they spend this money. I don’t trust Levy at all. But even though it’s just been a month of him in charge, I trust Ange. And I’m excited to see what he does from here.
