  1. Yeah that's the thing that surprises me the most lol. He even harmonizes with Hayley on the last line!

Boy am I sure glad I saw this tour when it came to the third largest city in the country, because that is a thing that definitely happened!

We reach for the longest shadow

It kind of fits, there's a lot of legacy "emo" bands that are getting praise now, with a lot of them not being super active (MCR come to mind) and Paramore is still going strong, and seem to be benefitting from becoming a borderline "legacy" band, where they're getting more respect than they were in their perceived heyday.

I literally said this morning that Portland is cursed with not getting Paramore shows :tear:

I've convinced myself they're going to do something special for pdx in the future due to the lack of love on tour and now this, but it's prob just my main character syndrome lol

  11. I understand where he’s coming from, but his insinuation that Hayley has knowingly infected people coming up doing Misery Business every night and doing the shows with the crew is pretty offensive tbh

it’s also really not our place to speculate on people’s health conditions, and worth remembering that lung infections like bronchitis and laryngitis existed before covid and are still around now. Hopefully Hayley feels better soon - being sick is awful

  12. (And Hayley has said multiple times it's not Covid.)

And literally said it was covid last time:

  13. Sorry I didn’t mean to imply that they have covid and I don’t even think this guy was trying to say that. More so how insurance doesn’t take care of artists if they had it

I was anticipating major FOMO from not getting a ticket to this. Sucks how it ended up the way it did for the band and the fans, though I am quite excited for whatever we get in the future now. Would be great if they ended up at Moda Center instead of Veteran Memorial Coliseum. Not sure our market is big enough for that, but I feel like they're popular enough to pull the numbers here.

They couldn't get Moda this time, it's being remodeled all summer.

Hayley at #13, 3rd highest female.

The 50 Greatest Rock Lead Singers of All Time - Billboard

When it comes to singers in contemporary rock, Hayley Williams reigns supreme. Her malleable voice has been the bedrock of pop-punk greats Paramore for nearly two decades and counting, lineup changes be damned. At once capable of blending gospel influences with rousing pop-rock arrangements (“Ain’t It Fun”) and capturing heartfelt moments of unflinching self-reflection (“Forgiveness), her voice packs the versatility necessary to carry Paramore through myriad musical eras while still retaining its core ethos. From her spiky stage persona to her trademark red hair, Hayley Williams is probably the most recognizable rock frontperson of the 2010s, and her winning contributions to Paramore’s latest record, this year’s chart-topping This Is Why, should keep her in that position for the 2020s.

The band is recording…something. TIW deluxe seems most likely but time will tell. Hayley’s discord post specifically mentions they’re in the studio.
