    Psycho-Pass sounds like Minority Report.

A little. There are definitely similarities, although it borrows from a lot of similar sci-fi. Judge Dredd comes to mind.

I tried watching Psycho Pass and ended up putting it on hold because I had the infinite wisdom to watch it during one of my worst depressive episodes ever. I'll go back and give it another shot eventually because I'm sure I'd enjoy it under normal circumstances

Yeah, it gets pretty bleak at times and it definitely does not shy away from the warped, dark, and disturbed side of humanity.

I gather that a lot of people like the first season more than everything after, but I find it all really compelling, honestly.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

I finally caught up on MHA after making my way through the whole thing this year. Banged out S6 the past couple weeks. Definitely found something to enjoy each season but man does the pacing take the wind out my sails sometimes. I feel like a few of the season also ended at really strange points or just ended with anticlimactic episodes. A few lame arcs here and there (looking at you UA School Festival arc) but the high points have all been pretty great. The fights are usually pretty damn entertaining which is what I'm really there for end of the day. Excited for S7 whenever that happens. Might have to check out the movies in the meantime.

It’s weird cause the last arc in the anime is my favorite, but the season before that is one of my least favorite. The current arc in the manga really dipped in quality cause of the writer’s health and there are only
Like 7-13 pages per chapter now. Really inconsistent with quality, but still one of my favorite series cause the high points are so good

A trailer for the Kaiju No 8 anime has been released. I love the manga.

I didn't even know this was going on until someone on a rhythm game Discord mentioned it, but I figured this is completely relevant to the thread. And needless to say, I bought tickets to go see Howl's Moving Castle

I finally finished Moriarty The Patriot. I wish the anime was more about Moriarty and Sherlock teaming up, as I could watch those two unravel mysteries all day. Those guys are true friends.

Anyway, next anime I'm plunging into is Taisho Otome Fairy Tale.

The gear 5 episode of One Piece is up now and crashed the Crunchyroll servers. Last time this happened was Attack On Titan season 4.

Finished the first season of Oshi No Ko. Whoever's idea it was to combine the first 3 episodes is a genius, because I would not have stuck with a show about reincarnated talking babies...get's really good after that. Happy to see the second season is already in production, hopefully it's longer.

    bring back 26 episode seasons

I feel you, but considering how overworked the industry is, I think we're probably just lucky to get what we have.

The Japanese collector's edition of Suzume is up for pre-order on CDJapan and, for the first time, English subtitles will be included.

I assume Toho realized they could make much more money by allowing the collector's edition to be accessible to a wider range of consumers.

Halfway through Taisho Otome Fairy Tale and it's way more charming than I anticipated.

Emotional, too. The male protog's family effectively disowning him and pronouncing him dead, his resulting depression and suicidal thoughts, and then another character has an abusive drunk for a father. Some pretty heavy stuff.

But the male and female protags' steadily building relationship is a rock that balances things out, and his reconciliation with his younger sister was really sweet.

Finished, and the last three episodes were gut-wrenching.

Basically an earthquake happens while Yuzu is away in Tokyo and it's all about the aftermath, and all the fears and uncertainty that came with it, and Tamahiko not knowing if Yuzu is dead or alive. Everyone turns out alright, but it's a very emotional series of events.

I've read a bit ahead and one thing I wish they'd gotten to adapt was Tamahiko's father attempting to bring him back into the family and Tamahiko refusing and leaving his family of his own volition so he can marry Yuzu. Would've been a nice capstone on the story if they'd been able to get to it.

Anyway, I now only have World Trigger on my list, so I'm going to go ahead and spin my wheel and add four more to my list.

    (spins wheel)

And the winners are: From Me To You, Nakaimo, Hellsing, and Wandering Witch. A real mix of stuff. A classic romantic comedy, a classic dark action series, a trashy harem romp, and a relatively new fantasy.

I'm also deciding to make an executive decision and add one myself, without RNG supervision. I've watched enough clips, I'm going to go ahead and just watch Bocchi.

The Dangers in My Heart is a solid romcom once you get passed the super edgelord "i'm excited to murder this girl" phase of the first couple episodes. The main girl is pretty funny. Second season already in the works for early 2024

Have a couple weeks left on my HIDIVE subscription, might check out Azumanga Daioh next. Clips are always popping up on my youtube and it seems silly enough. Any other shows on there I should check out?

Made in Abyss, a masterpiece. Watch it if you haven’t.
What I saw of Oshi No Ko was good. The Eminence of Shadow gets a lot of hype and it’s on my list.

Azumanga Daioh is a trip. For me, and the same thing happened with similar shows Lucky Star and My Ordinary Life, but it took a few episodes to really gel, probably because it has to spend time introducing the characters and getting you used to them before it can really put the pedal to the metal.

Azumanga Daioh is incredible and if you can, read the manga because the cat, Chiyo-chichi, is so so so good.
