This is the type of response that I wish Anti-Flag's was more akin to and I got questioned in that thread of merely wondering why it couldn't be lol

 

The mistreatment allegations against Lizzo are really gross but I’m not sure I can fault her for the comments from the director of the docu.

So, she’s a bitch? It’s absolutely not a crime to be unkind, arrogant, or selfish. These aren’t great traits to exhibit but male musicians have exhibited these traits for decades and NEVER face allegations like this. Feels like those comments were unnecessary and really add nothing to the conversation regarding the allegations.

 

It's not a crime, but I think her comments add to the pattern of behavior being discussed, and while it's a shame many male musicians got away with that kind of behavior for decades, I still think the concerns being brought forward here are valid.

The statement is awful, her doubling down on her identity and brand are an immediate red flag

 

reminds me a lot of when shit started coming out about Ellen
makes me forever sus of famous people who make being nice a brand

 

It's my feeling that real nice people don't usually think of themselves as nice people and probably worry that they're not.

Anyone who emphatically describes themselves as a nice person is probably a real piece of shit.

This isn't a hard and fast belief, but I think it's mostly accurate.

 

lizzo's whole thing was pretty clearly a gimmick

 

as someone who has joked that she's "too nice," i promise i'm not an actual trash person. but then that also leads to the anxiety of thinking about being too nice and worrying that people will think it's some sort of facade i put on for the public.

there are genuinely some amazing humans in the music scene that are nice, but aren't pieces of shit, and if things were to ever come out about them it would probably ruin my entire day.

 

He hasn't had a #1 in like 15 years though, he's not that much of a hitmaker anymore which is why it makes no sense to see so many artists collab with him like he's the only one available or something.

 

Yeah it's super annoying when people act like you're mother Teresa because you have empathy

And there are definitely people doing the work to make things better that I trust

 

I absolutely understand this, and whether I'm fake or not is an anxiety that has crossed my mind on occasion.

If I have my account private, I wouldn’t want people sharing screenshots of my stuff. Defeats the purpose of it being private. Unless I don’t get how Twitter works

 

I’m not sure, they were posting about the situation as of 4 days ago and they could have gone private for other reasons but it’s probably best to err on the safe side and not share anything further than the above.

I think it's okay to share that screenshot. Can confirm that the victim has been posting about the TFB situation very regularly recently.
