Joel Matip's not good enough as a starting centre back anymore, but the criticism he's getting online in this system is silly. We're practically playing 2v2 at the back when Trent moves into midfield and Robertson overlaps wide. Chasm of space outside the centre backs, requiring immense 1v1 defending. We're going to have to be a lot more compact than this once the season starts.
