  2. The age old Chorus.fm album sequencing debate never gets old. I'm so excited to listen to this record later today.

A LLL repress is long overdue

@Jason Tate Nothing wrong with the sequencing minus the last two songs should be flipped, how can you not end the record with the refrain Are We There Yet?!?!?!

Sequencing pretty much never bothers me and I usually find the debates a little bit silly, but this feels jarring even to me.

  6. Not every album needs to end on a ballad? Not sure why "are we there yet" has any more special meaning then "I'm spiraling"? I don't find it weird at all on first listen. Fits perfectly fine and if I was going to complain about anything it'd be that "Cars" goes on for too long.

  9. Hot take I guess but neither song feels like a particularly strong closer to me. Cars at least follows Funny How much better than Spiraling would’ve so for that alone I think they made the right call

In the context of the song and where the band is currently, also Spiraling is probably my least favorite song on the album and the band has great closing tracks typically…

  11. Dunno, I'm gonna need more than 12 hours before deciding what songs are my favorites, but I don't see any big deal with the last two songs being how they are. Album flows just fine to me.

  12. Alright enough about the closer how about this opener y’all, I mean WOW what a way to kick this off! Fantastic tune

Kinda weird cause I love American Candy but can’t stand Another Night on Mars. One of their weakest closers imo.

Example of an album that absolutely flubbed the sequencing iyo, particularly the closer?

  17. More on this - the breakbeat drums into that post punky chorus is just straight up adrenaline. Fixing to be one of their most explosive live cuts. And I know it’s really kinda just the bridge, but I’m counting that for one of most interesting ways to half time your chorus - hits super hard and really shows how good they’ve gotten at intermingling driving pop rock with atmospheric tones

  18. Off the top of my head: Night Game's debut. (Never really bought into the idea that it's considered an epilogue.)

This just makes me want to dance and sing and scream. Can't rank it after only two listens, but it's in a class with LLL.

I'm a Back in the Van fan. Definitely feels like a nice way to end that album.

Yeah, "Cars & Caution Signs" is a great track, but would be a whimper of a closer.
