I saw the show in Atlanta and it's huge production. He plays on an almost constantly rotating stage and tracks everything and loops everything with just a drummer and a bassist off to the side. He insisted there's no hidden backing band or backing track. I don't recall too much being truly just 'acoustic' even though he plays an acoustic the whole time, but he started off every song with playing the backing track to be looped. I think the setlist is misleading about 'full band' vs solo.

Ok, so my fiancé is trying to sell her Taylor tickets for the show this Friday. How does she go about doing that?

StubHub usually has the best reach, I believe they take roughly 5% though.

I don't know how to feasibly do this but I really believe that tours need to be priced significantly differently in certain cities depending on average income. I live in NYC so, yeah, we have huge population both in the city and in the suburbs made up of enough people who make the kind of money to pay some of these prices. Some of the rust belt/midwest cities, I'm not so sure...

Hmmm... if this is at HOB Disney Springs I may have to arrive a day earlier and hit this up.

I think you're right. But it goes beyond that, I think. Certain shows are just flat-out overpriced for what that particular fanbase/demo is willing to pay to see a given artist.

yeah obviously a lot of artists are coming out do the woodworks to do tours at high prices and are failing because they are just trying to get in on the post COVID touring boom. Stuff like these tours failing is capitalism at its finest

Yeah it’s odd that dynamic pricing doesn’t seem to kick in when things are underselling. Seems like a no-brained instead of papering/contests. Get someone in the door for $5-10 and then maybe they’ll buy concessions/merch.

If those Taylor rumors are true and depending on how many dates she’s doing if there’s a 2nd USA/canada leg she could do fall of 2024. All the places listed are domes. She and the nfl could work something out where they let her play and they just put those teams on the road for back to back weekends or 3 weekends in a row. It’s not like that doesn’t happen anyways. If it’s not fall 2024 it will prolly be summer 2025 but I think that also depends on how much she wants to milk this before putting out a new album and doing a tour for said new album

I am now realizing just how lucky I am to have seen SLS headline Chicago in 2019, with Drew Thomson Foundation (Single Mothers side project) opening to boot!

I don’t believe the NFL allows this, but I suppose I’d anyone could change that, it’d be Taylor.

Concerts at soldier field have gone into football season before so… Karol g is there in September. Bears only have one home game in September. The latest a concert has been held at soldier field has been October

Only using Chicago as an example since she’s already played here but it can be done in other places if the schedule is similar with teams being on the road Multiple weekends next season since it won’t be happening this year

They could also line certain shows up with the team’s bye weeks. Most teams have their bye week late October-mid November. And even though that’s not ideal weather-wise for some concerts, Miami and Jacksonville should be fine even though their stadiums aren’t domes.

Not sure if all of those NFL stadiums are domed. Orchard Park absolutely is not lol
