He's nowhere near suited to the Premier League and I guess you could say La Liga, too. As a result, he's short of options even at the lower price. If I was him I'd be desperate for a move back to Benfica.

Whenever I see this, I have to watch it. What an incredibly talented player, that doesn't get mentioned enough as one of the best we've seen.

No chance. The only thing that would make sense for us would be a loan without an option. But that doesn't make sense for Spurs.

Seems we’re signing this lad as our “insane price” signing of the summer.

Yeah I think its the transfer fee/wages and not sure if player and agent fees get lumped in that but then you run that over the course of their contract length. That is helpful in contract extension scenarios as well because you then spread that out even further. I remember Swiss Ramble going over this in one of his posts on the City charges a while back I think. Great blog btw for anyone not familiar with it. Does a great job of getting into deep financial analysis of clubs and football.

Fully trust ten Hag to improve him, as he has with basically every other player. If he can chip in with 1 (one) goal in the League, he's already better than what we had last season.

I think Hojlund’s game will translate really well to the league and they way EtH wants the team to set up. His bulldog/high energy nature will cause a lot of chaos across opposition back lines that the likes of Rashford and Bruno will be able to capitalize off of.

Honestly this is the thing for me. Bruno is the highest chance creator in the league. We get a guy that can put away even 10% of those chances, and we're in a good position. Another point of attack means opposition can focus on something else other than marking Rashford out of the game.

Already seeing people hyping up Haaland vs Hojlund, ignoring that Hojlund has very little experience at the top level.

Obviously the fee will aways add pressure but it cannot be helpful to be compared to the best striker in the world already.

Hertha Berlin's coach Pal Dardai has only gone and made history by playing three of his kids together at the same time. Madcap.

Also ignoring they’re wildly different players. They just happen to be both Scandinavian and have somewhat similar names.

Right. Don’t give a fuck how much he cost it’s great to see United fans join the club.

After last night’s win against Santos Laguna, Orlando will head to Miami to face Messi and co.

Our only chance is if, by some miraculous alteration of the fundamental makeup of reality and a whole lot of other chaos, the Monstars show up and zap Messi’s talent and transfer it to our #10, Mauricio Pareira.

So the more likely outcome is Miami’s shiny new toy carrying this team to a comfortable victory. My only prediction for our team is at best, slight embarrassment. Worse than that, things will get a bit humiliating.

They won’t be signing Raya at 40m as a backup though. For what it’s worth I don’t really rate Ramsdale that highly, nor Raya actually. Both pretty good but neither best in the league status imo. So 70m in three years for them is just strange to me.
