this is completely bonkers, with the pro mixing it really highlights how incredibly fast they were playing in that 03-04 era.

Blink Italia posted it. Someone took live shows from 04 and cleaned them up to be as close to a produced live album as he could. Sounds great!

This version of Obvious is so good.

  5. I could be wrong, but I think the person actually just re-recorded everything themselves, but in the same style/tempo as their live shows around that time, and then put the studio vocals on the tracks but sped them up to the right speed. They did a really good job on it!

EDIT: Explanation from the person who made this. "This is just the album vocals isolated and I recorded and produced all the instrumentals myself!"

I've always loved that version of Rock Show with the slowed breakdown. Wondering if we can get this as separate MP3's

Sorry for the double-post, but Obvious sounds SO sick. Wish they'd put that song back in the set. It's such a hidden gem within their discography. The closest we've ever been to post-hardcore/metalcore blink

I take back any setlist song requests and now request that they play some of their songs in a different way or bring back a quick-fire round/medley. These '04 shows are so cool to listen/watch with how they completed changed the dynamics of some of the songs.

Probably tough for them to do with how steady they are in their setlist ways.

Ahhhhhh okay. Now it makes sense why he has an instrumental version you can pay for. I was like "how the heck did he obtain instrumental tracks like this??" Got it lol

  11. yeah, they play along to a click nowadays so the stage production is queued up correctly and everything, so i don't see them deviating from playing to a click, unfortch, cuz these old 2004 versions are sooo awesome. So dynamic, twists on old songs, etc.

  12. Is it a hot take to say I didn't think they sounded good in 2004? :crylaugh:

The love for how fast they played then has always baffled me. I like a couple songs maybe but it's otherwise absurd

  14. Hah, yeah, I'll take this tour 1000000x over and it's not particularly close.

They’ve honestly never sounded better live than they have this year

  16. It’s not even that they sounded good/better back then. I just like the cool little interludes/bridges they were doing, the fast tempo was fun, etc. This current tour is definitely the best and tightest they’ve ever sounded live, for sure.

Really enjoyed this. Definitely agree I think they sound the best right now.

The Rock Show bridge slowed down was sooooo good

I think what attaches me most to that era is a mix of: nostalgia, Tom's guitar tones, the dynamic changes to the songs/added medley, the fast energy and blatant passive aggressiveness of the members (drama-bomb!), and Untitled is my favorite album of all time.

I never got to see them live before the first break up so I've always held that era as a "I missed out" type of ordeal, but maybe it was for the best..? They are firing on ALL cylinders on this '23/'24 routing.

Yep... the playing through the songs as fast as they could + almost no banter really gave a "we don't want to be here and we hate one another" vibe. It didn't feel like blink. Then again, neither did Untitled.

A medley would rule. Tom did one for the ava shows and it was great. +44,BCR,AVA, and a short Transplants verse or chorus would be awesome.

They definitely sound as tight as they ever have on this tour. I love the energy of those 04 shows, but I wouldn't say it objectively sounds good. The TRL Feelin' This performance sounds pretty bad but its one of my favorites from them.

  22. I'm 50/50 on them doing medleys live.

On one hand, we get more songs in the setlist. But on the other hand, we only get a section of a song that we'd probably rather hear all of.

If they did a medley that included "Up All Night" and "Down" so they could replace those two songs in the set with something like "Everytime I Look For You" and "Josie", then great! haha

Yea… string together the hit choruses and then play all of Pathetic. Haha I agree with you, but I don’t think they’d ever do that.

If anyone is on the fence with this new TD strat I think you should go for it..If you were to build your own with genuine Fender parts it’d be right around the same price if not more.

It’s such a beautiful guitar, I’m so hyped to get back into playing again with it, I even found all my old official blink tab books at my parents house today for dude ranch - self titled
