Why doesn't Al-Hilal want Harry Maguire.

  2. EPL fantasy has Richarlison as a midfielder….so lame lol I was going to pick him up as a cheaper forward option.

This is so cool. I love videos like this. The pace of the game is so high, even for a friendly. You have so little time to control the ball, spot your pass, line it up, and execute.

    Fucking hell

  5. I have a feeling this morning might’ve been Kane’s final game for Spurs. Think we’ll see the big bid from Bayern at the end of the week.

Sort of hope he goes there and they finally finish second. Just for a laugh.

  7. He will leave. Bayern will finish 2nd. Spurs will win FA Cup.

Imagine they lose the league, the cup, and the champions league. This thread would be amazing

  9. I won’t be bitter toward Kane for leaving, but I also will laugh if that happens. I just think the whole “he needs to win a trophy” thing is a bit overblown . Like, I get it. Obviously a player would rather have trophies to look back on. But at this point I don’t see how joining a team that has won their league 11 years in a row and winning a trophy adds to his legacy.

But I’m in the minority. The general reaction will be to laugh at Tottenham because he left and won a title after he left. I just fail to see how it makes him a better player or gives him a better legacy.

Winning Champions League is the only thing he can do at Bayern that’d add to his legacy imo. Which I suppose he has a better chance to do that with them than with Spurs.

  10. The trophy culture is lame in general. And I know as a Spurs fan I’m setting myself up for jokes. But Kane is a all-time great PL player with or without a trophy. He’s incredible. And vastly underrated simply because he hasn’t won a team award.

I’m sure he has his own personal goals and that’s completely fair. But I just feel like the general culture around him puts pressure on him to leave and raise a trophy.

There’s no need for VAR on a friendly but Bellingham looked way offside. But maybe I’m cazy

Mate, it’s football … the best players leave for the best clubs to go and win the best trophies. This isn’t like a unique to Harry Kane thing. I mean, trophy culture? That’s literally just sports.

I think a perfect storm with Poch and Kane/Son/Dele/Lloris/Eriksen/Belgian Bros kind of artificially raised the profile of Spurs to an unrealistic level and the new stadium and ambitious managerial appointments have kind of inflated the expectations for Spurs as a club that is kind of unmanageable. At the end of the day, Kane leaving Spurs to go to a top Euro side is the natural order of things, especially now that Spurs trophy window is shut realistically. Kane to Bayern is really no different than Berbatov to United or Modric/Bale to Madrid.

I agree with most of that except the last part. United and Madrid are obviously huge clubs. But they still have to fight to win their league. Bayern have won theirs 11 years in a row. My point is, I think it’s dumb that going there and winning that trophy is seen as some defining achievement or validation of his career.

Kane leaving EPL would really make FPL more fun so I’m for it. Go get your trophy, king.

Implying that Bayern does not have to fight? As if we got a head start of 10 points before the season. Would you say the same if he went to ManCity?

I don’t entirely disagree with your point about Bayern, but you can’t rule out the UCL factor.

Man didn’t pay enough attention to realise that Arteta doesn’t believe in friendlies beyond choosing bench players lol
