I got threatened with an arrest for having weed twice this year but neither cop actually did it. Or even wrote me a ticket. But I have gotten a ticket for weed before like five or six years ago

 

Ehhhhhh you'd be surprised how many average voters don't know the full extent of trumps awfulness. as tuned in as everyone in this thread is to the election some people really don't pay attention whatsoever

 

I'm not saying get rid of all the anti-Trump ads. But lets have both. After seeing the same anti Trump ad over and over and over having some positivity is definitely in order

Here r some quotes from a child of Muslim immigrants in my class:

"American hegemony is good" (with the implication that only Trump will continue pursuing it)

"Trump supporters aren't nazis I talked to 40 of them at a rally and they were nice"

"Why don't Muslim countries take refugees" (I wish I had gotten the chance to respond to this)


"Hillary and Bernie supporters beat up trump supporters at the rally I was at but not vice versa at their rallies so they are the real violent ones" (he had been personally victimized by a mean bernie bro I guess)

From others:

"Illegals make all immigrants look bad"

"Democrats won't deport illegals"

My favorite was from the Chinese international student:

"Chinese people prefer Trump bc Clinton will hurt our trade and start a war"

I just voted in my absentee ballot. This is why it's important to READ THE BALLOT CAREFULLY...I nearly marked my ballot for the rotting orange because he's listed first. All the Republicans on my ballot are listed first.

It's really sad, and it's not just Citizens United that does this. My grandmother gets letters/phone calls from fake charities and stuff like that all the time. She lives in a township that provides electricity through the local government and gets calls from a person claiming to be from PECO (the provider for most of the Philadelphia area) saying she's late on her payments.

Luckily she's still "with it" enough to be able to tell what's a scam and what isn't, but many elderly people are not.

 

My parents would absolutely agree with the international student; they're very gung-ho pro-China, despite disparaging the quality of their exports and things.

 

Yeah but like, Trump's rhetoric on Chinese trade especially is much harsher? I don't understand the thinking that Trump would be better for China's economy
