Woah, two months. And it takes place before Saw II? Sounds interesting

 

Yeah, this story sounds rad.

The infamous killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”

 

Nocturne was also really cool. Interesting that this took place in the music world and The Voyeurs took place in the art/photography world. Can't help but think of The Perfection and Candyman 2021 (and Velvet Buzzsaw, but we don't talk about that one). Hopefully Sydney continues to explore the horror/thriller genre

 

I'm literally in the middle of Velvet Buzzsaw now lol it's fun

 

I vaguely remember thinking Velvet Buzzsaw was fine until it lost me in the final act. Can’t remember why though

 

those have been my thoughts the last couple years too haha. i saw it at the sundance film festival, but i just remember leaving kind of confused and underwhelmed as a whole.

 

I always thought Angela Sarafyan didn't have enough to do on Westworld, so I watched A House on the Bayou. Neat idea but poor execution, should've leaned in on the weirdness more

 

This is gonna be fun as hell and I don’t care about the hater, they can go seethe to death over it.

 

Caught the new Exorcist trailer tonight before Oppenheimer. Very very mixed on DGG giving this the Halloween treatment

 

The crazy thing about The Exorcist is that they keep making new movies but the original is so good, it’ll never be topped.

 

Exorcist 3 rips but yeah no other movies in this franchise need to exist

 

Exorcist III is the genuine only exception to the rule

Just watched My Best Friend's Exorcism, was kinda hoping to have more fun with it. Reminds me of Jennifer's Body but not nearly as good.

 

Yeah, so re-evaluating Velvet Buzzsaw, it's not good satire and it barely makes any sense, but it's undeniably fun to watch. Great setting, great performances given to characters with no real reason to exist other than to get their ambitious just desserts. My kinda dumb

 

Yeah, so, I got a month of Amazon Prime for some Prime Day Deals, to get Free Games with Prime, and to finish up Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Since it's expiring in like a week, I've just been watching whatever horror/thriller looks interesting, which is why I've been posting about more films than my usual pace. I'm already running out of stuff that I randomly added to my watchlist, tho, so let me know if there's anything obvious on there I may have missed that I should check out!
