Positive Charge has definitely not grown on me but

let’s go

 

Hopefully the rest of the songs sound better than Positive Charge. I like the song well enough but think it's production sounds weird lol

 

This 'teaser single with no album attached and then we announce it's on the record' thing loads of bands do is confusing but I've always taken it to be the song that specifically accompanies the album announcement, there are a couple of different ways of looking at it ig!

 

I absolutely love Positive Charge, especially the bridge. The production is a bit weird, but I’ve heard worse.

I would imagine the production on the rest of the record sounds similar, just based off their catalog & Brian’s solo stuff. I can’t think of any moments in their catalog where the production is wildly different from song to song on the same album.

I think Ruston Kelly’s latest is a good example of where it can happen, and where it works, but idk that Gaslight has ever really made that type of decision.

 

I don’t love the production/mix on Positive Charge, but I still enjoy the song a good amount.
