So funny that Jet Lag Gemini was brought up because I just thought of them randomly two nights ago and listened to their album for the first time in like a decade. Used to be obsessed with it

 

Got a good one for you all today - We Are Action. This album is straight fire from 2007, I really can't believe these guys didn't blow up. Kinda Mayday-ish but with more of an edge, Jason Lancaster even features on one song.

 

If you like Jet Let Gemini - you might dig Vlad’s other project that ended as well - Born Cages!

 

i know dave he drummed for them, we still keep in touch! when he told me the singer was in JLG i definitely geeked a lil bit hahaha

 

I remember Born Cages a little but don't think I was as much into it, I'll revisit

 

they weren't on my radar at all but apparently had a longer and more fruitful career.

 

Does anyone know what happened with Violent Joy (side project of the dudes from Envy on the Coast)? They said back in 2021 they had a full length that needed to be mastered then just went dark.

I have that KK album and the Dropping Daylight album is INSANE. The opener and closer are so good.

I've seen that they have new projects and stuff but they aren't my thing. I think it was called American Scarecrow?

 

Whatever happened to Quietdrive?

 

Oh shit, I remember them as well. I kept thinking "Quiet Company" but Quietdrive was the one. Apparently they still exist? They do shows every now and again.

I meant to put Another Day Late in there as well. There's a couple more rattling around in my head but I can't quite fully remember their names for some reason.

 

I try my best. I only put bands that I think faded away (at least mostly), but I do have a bunch of others from that era rummaging around somewhere haha

 

I forgot to mention, but if anyone wants any of those, I have some albums/EPs so I can make a Google drive if anyone is interested.

 

I love that Under the Influence of Giants album so much. They evolved from Home Town Hero, who also belong in this thread.

Decoder is a throwback. Haven't really heard anything that came close to that sound or Oceana's Clean Head ever since, unless I've been missing out on some hidden gems.
