Haven't bought or sold anything on discogs.


I do have a couple of records I'm trying to get rid of. I guess eBay is the route

 

I miss the days of over a decade ago walking into Hot Topic and picking up an album for $20. All that store was good for post 2002.

 

Age of Adz record arrived. beautiful variant and plays great.

 

Picked up MCR in person and a bunch of other stuff in 2014/15 for cheap from them.

 

Hot Topic led to so many good steals for me. between the “hot cash” or whatever they called it getting me discounted prices, or the glitches on their website that led to me getting sooo many records for super low prices, or just the in store clearance bin… .$3.98 for Based on a True Story and a Hot Rod Circuit album? yes please

Discogs is going to turn into FeesX (Stockx)...I've gotten some second-hand memorable records on there but that Twitter thread bums me out.

 

I didn't realize Discogs was having trouble or whatever. I sell and buy stuff on there pretty regularly without any issue or anything. I've gotten some good deals on there. But for the most part, I do mostly just use it keep track of my own collection.

All I know is if Discogs dies then I will have no way to tell what I have in my collection. Dead Format already died like 7 years ago and I had to do my entire discography again in discogs. Not trying to do that again lol

this ain’t a hobby, it’s a problem. I’m trying to behave the rest of the year because I know we still have catalyst coming and more from this wax bodega triple crown drop, and god knows what else at this point.

 

If you follow the accountability in music thread you’d think that stack would be larger than the whole store

 

To add to the Discogs convo,

I collect there and I sell/buy semi often. I’ve not really had an issue at all. The prices are getting insane everywhere. It’s why I only shop in my local store’s new arrival used section pretty much.

I just saw blink last night and finally came around on turnstile only to find out if I want any non black version of glow on its 65 minimum via Discogs. Insane
