Their post makes me think it's someone that's relatively a big deal? Like at least co headliner worthy

That's what I'm getting at! It's a good combo of artists; just too expensive. If it were $100 all-in for the floor seats that are a base of $205? I would already have purchased my tickets. And I have to imagine I'm not the only person who feels that way.

Bet a price drop would help move a bunch of tickets. But kinda wonder what that would do for profitability given the acts involved and how close to the show it’s getting.

None of those, it’s someone they’ve played with a bunch in the past that’s also neither active or inactive. I’m not sure when that band is getting announced though!

This map gets a lot better when you remove verified resale as an option fwiw. Her not turning off platinum pricing greatly influenced that first few days of sales regardless.

Yikes! That’s like 40% sold? The ticket prices are really quite outrageous for this tour. Have to think Taylor getting her shows on sale first may have impacted Beyoncé a small amount, only so much money to go around for shows.

    Taylor's draw/impact is significantly bigger than Beyonce's.

  16. yeah, i wonder what the crossover between Taylor and Beyonce actually is.

Without a doubt, but there's def a little crossover. I can't imagine a ton of people are dropping $500/ticket multiple times this summer.

I'm going to/went to both. My face value Taylor tickets were $208 (second level) and $330 (first level). My face value of $49.50 Beyonce ticket in the second to last row of the third level was $160 due to platinum surge pricing. There's exactly one reason Beyonce didn't sell as well out of the gates and its what platinum pricing was doing to the tickets. I saw third level tickets in Atlanta platinum priced at $1000. I wouldn't have bought mine for what it was, but someone else bought it and we paid them back because it's a birthday trip for a buddy.

The best thing my parents did to help prepare me for working with middle-aged white dudes is introduce me to Steely Dan when I was young.

RE: Beyonce... The Atlanta date I'm going to is basically sold out but it's a sad state of affairs that THIS many tickets are up for verified resale. I don't have the answer, but there really needs to be a way to get tickets into the hands of those that actually want to go to the show (directly from the artist). Maybe it's the news telling people how much their tickets are worth, that even fans that wanted to go are now considering the monetary value, but damn...

At this point I don't even know if Steely Dan is a person or a group, and I don't know if they're 60's / 70' / 80's etc. or classic rock / jam band whatever. I'm sure I've heard them, but it's okay that I don't know for sure that I've ever heard them because I couldn't name / hum a single song with certainty.
