Personally I’m not really into torture porn. I offer no judgement on whether the franchise is any good or not. It just doesn’t appeal to me.

 

TBH every time I see it mentioned, I just wanna put on Garden Window by O'Brother

 

The Saw movies are mostly hot garbage but in a very entertaining, borderline-soap opera meets slapstick kind of way. I'd have to agree that at this point, the movies are underrated for what they are

Saw 2 is legitimately good. Spiral might be the best one since then.

Looks like it's hitting Peacock same day. I said it once, I'll say it again: there's no way it's better than Willy's Wonderland.

You know, I find that Evil Dead is a truly rare thing in horror where you can remake it with the same rules and it still works every time. Loving the new one, it’s a cool new take on the rules and it’s well done imo.

I think our Regal got this for one day just recently. Kinda wish I would've gone to see it.

 

I liked Evil Dead Rises but didn’t love it. Felt like it pails in front of Evil Dead (2013).

 

Haha I actually watched this today. I loved it

 

I didn’t wince once, which is impossible watching ED2013. The tongue scene and basically everything that happens to Eric is rough.

 

I think I've blocked out both from my memory aside from a vague feeling of liking them at the time

 

Tongue licking the knife, arm being pulled out from under the car, and machete slicing across the kneecap are all moments of 2013 that weren’t topped by Rise. I think Rise is generally more fun to watch though and I appreciate that it doesn’t take itself as seriously

I did just rewatch the first two in preparation for Army of Darkness, which I’ve somehow never seen

 

There’s only a few movies that make me squeal like so. The TCM with Jessica Beil definitely had moments. Hostel. Cabin Fever. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few.

 

Infinity Pool…wtf did I just watch? Mia Goth stole the show though.

I knew this was supposed to be pretty silly but boy was I not prepared for the level of silly. So many incredible one liners. Had a lot of fun

 

Army of Darkness might be The Most Raimi film, it's so great. which ending did you watch out of curiosity?

 

It was actually really good. Some cool practical effects. You can rent it on Amazon for $2

 

I watched Knock At The Cabin and liked it more than most Shymalan movies.
