Not being able to remove things from your "Continue Watching" section of any service (D+, Peacock), is the most frustrating thing.

Scott Aukermann has talked about a similar thing to this with the Between two Ferns movie. PFT's wife has a scene that was deleted from the final cut and wanted to use itinher acting reel/send to casting agents but Netflix would not allow her to use it as they claimed ownership of everything to do with the movie after it was completed.

Especially when you’ve ended up four episodes ahead of your wife on The Bear after she went to sleep and can’t make the full progress bars disappear under the episodes

This is a stupid long shot, but the song 'Nerve' by Don Broco just came on and it's got a huge recognizable chorus and I swear I heard this is in a show recently (a drama show that wasn't the Bear and wasn't Ted Lasso).

Anyone know where I just heard that song? It's driving me nuts and I can't find anything online. It wasn't an obscure show, it was a pretty current drama/comedy.

I absolutely love Tron and Tron Legacy and I’ve been dying for a sequel since, but there is no chance in hell I’ll bother watching Ares unless Leto gets dropped.

  11. Oh, what? Yuck. I actually haven't seen the first Tron but I've seen Tron Legacy like five times and I have the soundtrack on vinyl but if Leto is in the next one idk if I'd be very interested

Anyway, since I loved Doctor Sleep so much, I wanted to see Kyliegh Curran in something else, so I started The Secret of Sulphur Springs, initially just to have in the background while playing video games, and yeah it's a lightly spooky show for young audiences (and their parents I guess), but omg there's time travel! and I fucking love time travel stories, so I got a lot more invested than I'd expected.

  14. So, I'm watching the 2009 animated Wonder Woman, and there's a scene where Diana is made from clay! Gotta tag @Tim because he hates the New 52 version of her origin story as the daughter of Zeus

This cast is pretty stacked. Keri Russel voices Diana, while Rosario Dawson, who plays Diana in the DCAMU, voices Artemis in this. Then we have Nathan Fillion as Steve Trevor, Alfred Molina as Ares, and Tara Strong as Alexa, who is killed when Ares escapes; I can't remember the last time I saw Tara's character die in something.

This movie's Steve Trevor is suuuuch a sleazeball haha

Haven’t watched that in years, but I remember it being pretty fun with pretty strong animation. And yeah, ‘09 was two years before New 52 launched in the comics, so this was before that origin got messed with.

Looked it up to refresh my memory, and apparently Gail Simone worked on the story, which probably helped.

  16. Diana uses her tiara as a boomerang! I've never seen her do that before haha

Yeah I noticed Gail Simone had a story credit! Its "patriarchy is bad" messaging is a bit on the nose, and unfortunately Steve Trevor is a vehicle for that, at least in the first half. Of course, in this household we are anything but anti-woke, so we can look past a little lack of subtlety. Everything else about the story is pretty well done.

The fights in this are so good, especially zombie Amazons in the final battle that tears up Washington DC, but overall I think I prefer 2019's Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. Vanessa's arc in that is so poignant that none of the secondary characters in the 2009 movie come close. Still a fun time, tho

im watching the American Gladiators docu on netflix. I loved this show as a kid, i like these types of docus where its a going down memory lane type thing, but i gotta be fair...

its really not that interesting? Especially to have it be multiple parts. Sounded like they had typical production issues at the beginning, steroids (duh), and they partied.

This might be better as a GLOW type tv show, not docu

Our Planet II has been so good. It's been interesting how they've weaved more of the human interaction and impact into the segments. Usually, these shows try to avoid showing people or manmade objects unless it's a specific episode for "cities" as an environment, so it's been interesting to see that shift.

Sinestro doesn't get a magical girl transformation lolol

This is the first standalone Green Lantern story I've seen, so I'm no expert on Lantern lore but I was pretty surprised/disappointed to find that Boodikka usually isn't a villain like she's portrayed here, I feel like her betrayal and rather excessive graphic death were unearned and out of place. Sinestro as a big bad tho is pretty, uh, sinister. This was a pretty fun space adventure

My kiddo acted in a proof-of-concept film the other week and now they've posted a 5 min clip of it... she's the lead in a post-zombie world where she lost her parents. This is for some new streaming site (loor.tv) where they crowdsource to fund a full-length feature. Pretty cool to see her in such a legit shot film.
