Eternal has a lot of cool stuff, even if it isn't quite as good as 2016 it's still worth a playthrough

Wife bought me a Switch for Father’s Day so I can do some gaming while stuck in hotels on trips. What games are pretty solid?

I like Halo, and flying games, stuff like Celeste and sim city type stuff, I’m hoping for something a little less intense so I can unwind as I play, plus my airline doesn’t put us up in hotels with the best WiFi, so heavy online stuff may be tough. Tried some newer Pokémon games a few years ago and unfortunately couldn’t get into them like I could the OG versions!

Online lists tend to have the same games, and you all have steered me in the right direction previously, so I trust you more haha.

I am up to try whatever though!

 

My favorite exclusives are Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Link’s Awakening, Metroid Dread, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

If you something less intense, avoid Fire Emblem, Metroid, and Zelda though

idk about any exclusives, but it looks like Child of Light, Spiritfarer, and Gris are all on Switch. Also stuff like Hades, Cult of the Lamb, Dead Cells, and Slay the Spire, but those can get pretty intense

I started up and beat Bright Memory Infinite yesterday. Best 2 hour game I ever bought.

Wingspan is one of my favorite games, but the digital adaptation is terrible outside of its aesthetics, pretty much the most confounding matchmaking system I've ever run across.

 

love cloud gaming so much the fact I can just start playing a game without downloading is fun.

 

damn people emulating TOTK on PC have the game looking insane

 

I've done 1 of the tutorials lol so I haven't picked up on any of that yet lol. Also will probably never play online matches

 

Like their Wii Remotes and WiiU GamePad lol

 

I've had absolutely no problems with the digital version. I play it online with friends and it's all good.

 

Private matchmaking is probably fine, I'm speaking to trying to play public matches and being hard-locked into 5-minute rounds and 3-player games only, not to mention the fact that 3/4ths of the matches I've played end with someone D/Cing so the game hard drops to AI, it's fucking baffling.

I was irate when the asynchronous game I'd been playing for a month ended the same way as those real-time games did, with someone D/Cing in the final rounds.

 

I think I’ve bought a switch 4 times. No regrets. Still have 3 of em

 

I was playing Fortnite today and it crashed on me because of course so my last resort really is to see if maybe the profile is glitched which would be the weirdest thing ever.
