tbf doesn’t Lecter say Bill isn’t truly trans? I watched it again a few months ago and honestly was kind of surprised how well a movie in 1991 or whenever it came out did at not blaming his crimes on just “being trans”

  2. Honestly F13 Part V is underrated, the kills in this area great even if it is a little silly

  3. I don't think that negates the impact the film may have had on the public perception of trans people

In regards to Silence of the Lambs, the text of the film itself does handle the issue more deftly than you might expect from a movie from that time, the issues kind of come from society not understanding that and using the character as a reference point after the fact. That's not exactly the movie's fault though.

On the Silence of the Lambs Blank Check episode Emily Vanderwerff provides a good perspective of the film from one trans woman's point of view.

  8. Hm, I guess I'll pick it up if I see it again. I've been meaning to watch the Hannibal and Red Dragon films after loving Mads' take on the character in the show so much

It’s the last one to keep the original kill style, with I prefer imo. Better to keep people imagining what happened than actually showing it *glares at Zombie Jason movies*

Also, I’m pretty sure it has the highest body count in the franchise

It’s been a long time but I’m pretty sure I enjoyed Last Shift when it came out. Definitely plan on rewatching. But has anyone seen Malum and have thoughts on it?

The Malum reviews are awful but the poster is so good that I may end up watching it anyway. I also remember mostly enjoying last shift unless I’m thinking of a different police station movie

just rewatched Malignant and it’s really fun knowing the twist. Only issue is with the ending, very fun movie.

I'm watching Come Play without knowing anything about it going in and idk if I can handle it cause he's like the cutest kid ever and I can't handle him being terrorized by the other kids and whatever the entity is like what a sweet lil angel. The older I get I can't handle scary movies with kids in them :verysad:

Saw is the most underrated franchise at this point. It’s such a product of the 2000s with its response to the political climate.

I will forever be an apologist of Saw.

Doing a Saw marathon is unlike anything else and I love it for so many reasons - not least of which is the absolute batshit retconning and convoluted premise of each subsequent entry
