Croatia’s golden generation has some of the worst heartache in the sport.

 

Modric's, especially. I know it's borderline groupthink to refer to him again and again, but considering what he's achieved at club level and his overall life journey ( coming from war torn Croatia) then I think he has to be referred to every time. Football will be at a loss once he retires.

 

Truly one of the all time greats and it’s been the worst having him play for such a key rival.
