I would do anything for Silverstein to do a "This Is How The Wind Shifts" album-play tour, but I'm absolutely slammed with shows & work in September, so I'm praying it's in Nov/Dec instead.

Wait a minute is there any actual evidence to a This is How the Wind Shifts tour or is it just people wishful thinking?

It's probably my favorite Silverstein album and even I'm skeptical that there's enough demand for that tour. Would LOVE to be wrong though.

Isn't it widely considered one of if not their best record?

I always kind of assumed the majority of people didn't really listen to most of there records past the 1st two. A shipwreck in the sand was always my favorite. But even in high school people only ever talked about discovering the waterfront

Stuff between discovering the waterfront and I am alive in everything I touch is a big lapse in listening for me

Toured on warped with them when that album came out. That first jam on the album has my favorite Silverstein riff of all time.

Not that it means much but a few years back they did a poll on socials asking what album people would want to hear them tour and this is how the wind shifts was the majority favourite and they hinted to an album play of it over the years. But I just assumed it’d be a few shows not a full tour.

The tour makes sense. It’s their first album with Paul Marc which kind of signaled a new era of the band and I’d say it’s definitely one of their strongest releases.

Shipwreck in the Sand Island easily my favorite Silverstein record.

Silverstein is my favorite band, ever. DTW is still by far their best and a perfect album for their genre and style. TIHTWS changed a lot about the band stylistically and holds true as probably their 2nd best album. I would 100% support a 10 year tour for that album and they should add the addendum bonus songs too.

Yeah also, TIHTWS has a more prominent and long-standing impact on their setlist than any album since Discovering The Waterfront.

Massachusetts and Stand Amid The Roar are both setlist staples, and they regularly pull out a deep cuts from it on their headliners. It's their 4th most played album according to setlist.fm, and deservedly so, it has tons of fan favorites.

It's not a lock, but if any of their albums are gonna get a 10-year tour, it'll be that one.

I haven’t really listened to their music before but Mom Jeans announced a one off show in Fresno since some of their members are from here and I’m debating grabbing a ticket.

There are 2 types of Silverstein fans: Fans that only like Discovering the Waterfront & When Broken is Easily Fixed, & then fans of all/most of their discography. My experience is that amongst the latter group, This is How the Wind Shifts is either 1 or 2 in their discography ranking. It's by far my fav, & is the beginning of their best career 3 album arc, IMO

This is How the Wind Shifts recaptured my interest in Silverstein and I think is a big tentpole for what the band became and solidified their longevity in the scene, I'm glad they're giving it the anniversary treatment!

TIHTWS has some bangers on it for sure but I can't say that I've ever listened to / loved it as a complete album and I think most everything since are better complete albums. Either way, they have a great discography the whole way through and it's great to see them still so popular. If that tour gets people out, cool, I'd go and see what's on there that I've overlooked.

The album was such a nice comeback after which Rescue which was a letdown compared to Shipwreck. DTW, Shipwreck and Wind Shifts are easily my top three by three and interchangeable depending on the day. There’s also a lot of songs I’ve never seen live off of it. Stoked to finally hear A Better Place!
