FFX is great and does not need a remake in any way lmao, it's available on so many platforms as is

 

It absolutely needs a remake because I want a GOOD version of Blitzball

 

Allegedly blitzball is coming to FFXIV (I know)

 

But yeah FFX blitzball should’ve been so much better to play than it was

 

Square should remake Xenogears, FF9, and Chrono Trigger

I always hear FF Tactics was awesome too

 

For a while a single player version of FFXI was being worked on but I think it got axed. I'd love to get to play it as a true single player game

 

Square should remake Threads Of Fate and Brave Fencer Musashi.

They should also make a new Einhander.

 

Tactics is getting a remake at least

 

FFX is probably my all time favorite game. I don’t know what a remake would add to it, but I love that game and world so much that I’ll gladly play a remake of it even though it probably doesn’t need one.

 

Summed it up for me. FFX was my first real obsession.

I played a bit of the Lies of P demo last night and of course I love it

 

If any classic JRPG deserves a remake, its Xenogears. They could flesh out Disc 2 a bit more. Still one of my favorite games of all time, and probably the most ambitious story ever told in a video game. As cool as this FFIX rumor sounds, I really just want FF Tactics brought to modern consoles.

Isn't the FF7 "remake" an alternate retelling anyway? Unlike the REmakes which afaik mostly stick to established storyline/lore. It's almost like they made the second and third playthrough of Nier Automata into three separate games. Or like Eva Rebuild

 

Yes it is (though N:A endings 1 and 2 are the same ending technically just from different perspectives but yeah 3 and 4 are totally different from one another)

 

Yeah and maybe enough teams should work on 7 so that it gets done one day is what I am saying

To be fair it likely is Nomura’s team doing both (unless SE is outsourcing which I suppose is possible)

But I agree this probably isn’t impacting 7 heavily

 

I don’t see them doing a huge retelling like 7 for any other ones so outsourcing or relegating B teams seems more likely for other FF remakes

 

Honestly, I would take all of these over anything Final Fantasy for the next five years.

Yeah I could see it being outsourced, plus CBU1 is big enough as is that there's plenty of people working on 7 Rebirth (though they are also doing KH4). If they have people doing a 10 remake (that definitely won't be a retelling...right?) they certainly have the staff to do both. Feels like outsourcing is most likely though
