Waiting for a call from the mechanic to find out how much repairs cost. Not knowing if it’ll be a few hundred or a few thousand dollars is excruciating.

 

We got Chili’s for lunch earlier this week and we did a test. One of the lunch bundles had you add a dessert for 2.50 while a stand-alone dessert was 7 (for a slice of cheesecake). I thought that the lunch bundle piece of cheesecake would be super small since it was so much cheaper.

IT WAS NOT.

they were the same size and very, very good. So annoyance for me, great execution by my coworker. So! If you visit Chili’s make sure to get the dessert added as an add on or whatever to save a few bucks and get the same giant slice of cheesecake.

Always will be the fact that I work with a bunch or radical republicans. Even tho we don’t talk politics at work, I’ve seen what some of them post on social media. It’s scary how they think that way and I see them as very two faced. I read something the other day about trump being indicted and I’m sure these co workers will think he’s innocent and does nothing wrong even with evidence. Yet if it were a dem person, for sure guilty! I can’t

Only my Dad is conservative, and he is respectful/keeps it pretty close to the vest. It's only annoying when I'm visiting and can hear dennis praeger through his headphones.

 

My dad has gotten a lot more liberal over time. Still a conservative, but it's been heartening to hear him shit-talk Trump over the past eight-plus years. He's also very respectful of LGBTQ+ people now, especially after actually meeting some and realizing...yep, they're just people. Those are huge movements for someone his age, even if we still disagree on some things

 

My bathroom sink is now completely unusable bc not only is the drain clogged, now the pipes leak water all over the floor if I run any water. Looks like fixing my AC is gonna have to wait ughhhh

This one brewery I go to I know the dude there. He never charges me a lot.We've hung out a few times outside of there as well. But sometimes when I go there he's an asshole. Like he fucks with me in kind of a bullying way. Today he sprayed from the fountain the seltzer water on me a few times and it was on top of other shit. I threw my beer on him eventually after he kind of pissed off. I'm not the kind of person to get angry but I don't like to feel like someone is fucking with me. He acted after like that's how he treats everyone but I haven't really seen that. Anyways there's more to the story but like idk you can fuck around with someone without making someone feel shitty / uncomfortable

 

Realizing (or feeling like) you're being annoying in a group setting

 

I say this with love, but my bfs photography skills. I'll be like "hey I'm in this cool carriage thing. Can you get a pic of me in it?" And he'll get one all close up of me that crops out the carriage. "Can you please take a pic of me and my nephew in front of this cool back drop?" Takes a pic of me and my nephew with barely any of the backdrop in it and some random women talking take up almost the whole background. "Can you take a pic of me and my mom in front of this concert sign with the band logo in the background?" Takes a pic with the band logo half cropped out.

It's not even weaponized incompetence bro just has no idea how to take a pic

 

Very relatable for whenever I ask my brother to take a picture. He sucks at it.

how they haven't changed smoke detector technology so it doesn't beep in the middle of the night when the battery is low in a way that also makes you feel like you're about to die and you don't just have a low battery

 

Cormac McCarthy died so there goes my day. that sounds deeply selfish and a little callous but it comes from a good place. his writing meant a great deal to me and changed me as a writer and more importantly as a person. there was always so much humanity in his work, even if it most of it focused on the not so pretty sides of it. I will always remember and cherish his work. he will never be replaced. R.I.P.

I’ll be the first to admit that a lot of his writing was over my head and not sure if I will ever make a final decision on if I like or dislike him never using quotation marks so it’s almost impossible to know when a character is talking or who the hell is talking or when they’re talking starts or ends lol but there are numerous moments from each of his books that will randomly pop up in my head - not the exact verbiage but more of a visual of a paused scene that very few books/authors do for me.
