Just been beaten by a GO Rocket grunt 4x in a row lmao, deleting the app. How the hell are they allowed a lineup of Snorlax-Poliwrath-Dragonite! Their Dragonite took out my Dragonite in literally two hits

 

That’s the one grunt I just don’t even bother with lol

 

My theory:

Catch them in the Sw/Sh DLC and transport them to Home. Don’t worry about catching them in Go.

I haven’t encountered one in the wild and I’ve tried since August

 

Exploiting switches is the way to go. They stop attacking for like 3 seconds when you switch out. Next time you have a hard one, don’t put your ideal lead first but then switch into it at the beginning of the battle.

 

I do try to do that when I can remember it lol, but I think my main problem is that I just don't have very many of the top counters in this game atm - I have a good Tyranitar and am powering up a decent Machamp, but most of my Pokemon either cannot be powered up very much due to lack of candies, lack the optimal moveset or I straight up just don't have the big ones like Metagross, Lucario, Salamence, Chandelure etc. Gotta keep grinding and hope the new season that starts soon has some better spawns/hatches to get the candies I need.

 

Is this new or have I just never seen this before? It now tells you if there are people in the lobby for raids?

Yeah it does look pretty good, but 5km eggs still have some very frustrating Pokemon in them - I have hatched so many Mareanie from 5kms these past few months that I actively avoid spinning poke stops until my egg storage is full of 7km and 12kms to avoid getting another 5, just remove them and replace with literally any other water Pokemon.

 

New season wild spawns, pretty damn good tbh - it is possible to get all 3 Kanto and Hoenn starters in the wild which is great news

I know it's early days but I am really enjoying this new season so far, great spawns great rewards for field research tasks and I have found out I am able to solo some of the 3-star raids, Haunter and Seadra

However, there is a new special research task where I have to add 3 more new friends! Are there any others ITT that I (trainer name SamuelSNB) I have not added yet and still play frequently? Thank you

If you used any remote raid passes on the Lake Trio, you should be getting those passes back. Not sure if it truly was a glitch or if they did it on purpose but didn’t announce the shiny rate change and got caught.

 

did they make raid bosses harder to catch? i swear i can’t seem to catch a thing lol

 

I'd say yes, I almost flipped the fuck out yesterday trying to catch a Staraptor; it was just constantly super aggressive and knocked probably 9-10 pokeballs away when I threw them - got very lucky and hit it in the 0.5 second window it was giving me between attacks for the catch, but if I hadn't got that i'd have probably ragequit haha

 

I’m getting really fed up with Niantic. The fact that they quickly released and forced an update where they removed the extended Pokemon spawn zone from the previous update, an unintentional change that people loved, but there’s some annoying bugs that they don’t bother fixing quickly just shows they don’t give a damn about the community.
