It took two hours to get out of Green Day at Giants Stadium (East Rutherford’s former stadium) back in 2005. It’s gonna be a disaster each night this weekend…and I’m on my way now.

I've already got parking reserved for Solider Field next week starting at 3pm like a 30-minute walk from Solider Field. I hope that's enough time beforehand.

As long as you’re not buying merch outside, yes.

Also, be smart and don’t use the north entrance by the Field museum.

I’ve seriously thought about it. It’s going to be insane. I’m going to a Sox game on 6/2, already told my friends we’re not touching the expressway on the way home.

Just got home after picking up a late night Taylor (Swift) Ham, Egg, and Cheese bagel on the way back. Everything was with it and now I’m going to buy merch since she sent a damn 15% off coupon to use for 24 hours on Eras Tour merch. Damn, she’s good.

Anyone going tomorrow and are driving plan accordingly. Traffic is going to be extra heavy in the area as the 2 museums are open. Also there’s a sold out show at northerly island. It will be gridlocked and parking will be limited. If you can take public transportation do that instead of driving.

Also Sox in town with fantastic weather. Attendance will be up. Going to be a total nightmare getting around that area.

When I checked yesterday the game was under 50% sold for tonight

edit. Not much has changed for tonight’s game. looks like tomorrows game will have the highest attendance. Sunday is under half sold. Both tomorrow and Sunday are day games

  13. Wish I could have found a reasonably priced ticket for any of the shows this weekend, but I hope everyone who's going has a great time and doesn't get trapped in the traffic for too long.

I totally get this to be honest... I've been to some concerts and been so sensually overwhelmed and hyped, that at the end, it's hard to remember the full setlist. I wouldn't be dramatic and call it amnesia, but I've definitely been to 20+ song set list shows and struggled to recall if they played a certain song or not after (if it wasn't a 'highlight' moment - those songs you're just waiting for, you remember).

Case in point the 1975 show I saw on this tour, I definitely don't recall the setlist in it's entirety....

im also a drunkard at shows

Went to the Friday show at Solider Field with my partner. Parked like a 30-min walk west and got down to Solider Field at 3:45 and waited 1.5 hours in one of the merch lines outside the gates - some were probably slightly shorter but not appreciably so. However, we didn't realize that there were these little satellite merch stands selling only one of the shorts and the poster and that was like a 5 min line lol.

Had absolutely incredible seats for the value. Basically dead center in the upper part of the 200 level. Still close enough but far enough back where you could see the skyline and the change from daylight to dusk to nighttime.

Concessions were an absolute nightmare. Right before Owenn it was basically wall-to-wall people. Barely any food available as they had either run out of/didn't have the advertised items. Women's bathroom was over an hour wait. However, once the show started there was no wait and all of the food items came back.

I am not a Taylor fan but the show was undeniably incredible. Just unbelievably immense effort and detail put in by Taylor, her band/singers/dancers, etc. You could sell she was super grateful as well when the crowd applause was deafening and lasting forever after one of the Evermore songs.

Still reeling from this weekend. I feel so blessed (and a little guilty) I got to go to this tour three times (once in Arizona, twice in Chicago).

The joy in the stadiums is so real. I've never seen that many people so dedicated night after night. Friday in Chicago was my best seat, I was head on in the 100s section like row 6.

Took my 5 year old niece to her first concert and she was just in awe, so mesmerized she couldn't even speak and just kept saying "this is fun" (until she fell asleep lol but she saw all of her favorite songs thankfully). So many emotional moments

It definitely was an unrelentingly joyful occasion that I have not seen at any other show lol.

So I got my Seattle tickets back in Nov. At the time, I'm talking with my ex. I snagged a spot in the queue, can get extra tickets, offer to get her one we can go as friends cause like sure whatever. But she's never like "oh let me send you the money" (but I also don't push for it yet cause I know money is a bit tighter for her than for me)

Then a few months ago I start dating someone. At first I'm thinking sure whatever keep the original plan its fine but as time goes on I realize I'll definitely have a lot more fun going with the person I'm dating instead. Plus like... ex still hasn't paid. And even the whole "lets just be friends" thing I'm not entirely feeling.

So I currently still have both tickets. What do I do? :teethsmile:How selfish/shitty is it to just go "I'm taking the girlfriend"?

Does the girl you are dating like Taylor Swift?

If so, then take her. If not, sell the tickets and do a weekend away or something.
