Take arms, it'll all blow over Prestigious

Put on the first Hostage Calm record today after having never listened to it before, was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a hardcore record.

Revisiting Mercy Mercedes today and man, what catchy songs.

Always felt like Amber Pacific should have gone farther, though they're still doing stuff, which is cool.

Letter Kills was apparently in the studio recently. That is absolutely wild to me. I remember being so bummed when they started working on the follow-up to The Bridge but ended up breaking up.

No idea how big this band even was, but this one album by Let It Happen is so great. I know they toured with Motion City Soundtrack at one point

Saw these dudes open for Coheed in 2004. I guess the world wasn't ready for two proggy post-hardcore bands.

That Brazil album was pretty cool, but I don't remember anything after it being worthwhile

Been enjoying The American Analog Set lately. Never really gave them a listen til recently and they're dope--gives me early Death Cab, Pinback-but-fully-slowcore vibes.

This song randomly popped in my head. Loved this EP back in the day.

Was listening to Fang Island today. Feels like they’re a band that qualifies for this thread.

Niiice, love to see this one return to streaming. I gotta give this a listen at the gym tomorrow (minus track 8 which has aged extremely poorly lol).

Saw them perform a small show at my school while in college. I was wasted and it was one of the most incredible shows ever.

Thank you for bring this back! I haven't listened to their EP since 2011 according to my last.fm. Man it holds up well!

  23. Kinda sucks the best song from their debut EP isn't on streaming services because, oddly, it was the only one not to make it into the reissue.
