So I was checking out TV Tropes articles about Zelda fan-made games, and I came across something called Banjo-Kazooie: Jiggies of Time.

I'd seen this before but brushed it off as I thought it was just someone putting Banjo-Kazooie in the world of Ocarina of Time, but I read and watched more, and it's actually a full-fledged Banjo-Kazooie game built using areas of Ocarina of Time as the levels, and it's pretty brilliant.

It has everything you'd expect from a Banjo game: Jiggies, notes, Jinjos, Bottles giving moves, and lots of easter eggs and nods to both Rare games and Zelda games. The second area has Ganondorf in a prison playing the original NES Zelda. It's actually wild how well the areas of OOT lend themselves to a platforming game.

I didn't watch more than the first two areas as the videos of gameplay were very long and also, I now really want to play this thing in the future. Wild fucking stuff.

 

X-2 is the only FF game I’ve played

who've you been using? i've been mainly using Jaime and used Kimberly for a few matches

i'm pretty new to fighting games so i've had modern controls on since i started but i think i may try classic so i can try to do the moves i want
not that it'll help since i have only won one match since i started

 

FFXIII is the only Final Fantasy I've beaten

yeah, i'm still getting my ass kicked but i'm mostly having a good time, lol.

only other SF i've played is from the SF Collection that i got on Switch and i button mashed then too
i bought SFV on sale on PS but for some reason i'm unable to start it up...

 

That was my first FF game and I played roughly 30 hours of it, got to the first wide open area of the entire game and promptly quit. I would've been stoked if it showed up 5 hours into the game but after a 30 hour slog through good looking corridors, I just wanted the game to be over by that point. I went back and beat it for the first time a few years ago. My opinion on it didn't really change either. It has a great combat system but it's still a slog.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is kind of a jam in comparison, though I wish its combat was as challenging as its predecessor. But my favorite FF game is FFXII. Some people call it a single player MMO but it has far more in common with western cRPGs.

 

Oh hey, Metro Last Light is free on Steam. I haven't played the first one, but free is free.

 

I’ve only finished FF7 remake but I’ve gotten a considerable amount into 6. got all the rest sitting in my backlog lol and of course the ones I wanna play the most are tactics and tactics advance

Still chugging through Midnight Suns, but added Vampire Survivors and Potion Craft to the mix as well.

Toss up between what my next big game is gonna be, Persona 5, Pillars of Eternity II, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Stick of Truth and Pentiment are all catching my eye.

The bad news: It's supposedly developed by Virtuous, Konami just keeps giving some of the best franchises in gaming to C-tier studious

To be fair, I looked up Virtuos (who I assume you mean) and their resume of porting games seems really extensive and they've done art support on the Horizon games too.
