Idk why anyone would have to admit that they were wrong about the time jump when it was mostly just simply guessing/hoping. Would seem two episodes later, a solid half of this thread is not fully onboard with it.

This episode was significantly better than the last. But I am also still struggling with the concept that such a highly wanted fugitive was able to continue to move around and stay on the run for 8 years, and within the first year decided to have a kid amidst all that going on. Neither one showed or mentioned any interest in being a parent before this. It’s not logical by any means even with their messed up relationship.

Everything else was quite spot on. I loved the Fuches stuff, I love the broken and humble man Gene is now, who clearly is/was really just afraid of Barry coming back for him all along (hence the second setup with Moss.)
Hank exactly where we expected him and some great up-close acting moments. Barry trying hard to find solace and rectification through religion and literally skipping to the parts that make him feel better is subtly hilarious. Sally’s portrayal of PTSD is so well done. Can’t wait to watch next week.

Barry had a fantasy of having a kid with Sally earlier in the series. He's been getting to live out his dream of having a family in an area similar to where he grew up as a kid, which is why he's been all about it. Sally is only there because she left with him since she felt safe and now she's stuck, getting to be an "actress" but not at all how she had envisioned.

Whitey Bulger was on the run for 16 years. Barry being on the run for 8 isn't that crazy. Especially since he doesn't seem to leave their house. Ya'll are wild.

I imagine Barry, being as multitalented as he is, has planned for a situation like this before and knows the protocols to staying undetected on the run.

He’s making a different face/displaying a different emotion in each pic so I think it is a little misleading

they don't shoot television in order of scene lol. they said the scene between barry and sally in the apartment in LA before they leave is the first thing they shot of the season. it is possible they just shot those sequences weeks/months apart. as does most every television show you watch.

I thought he looked a little cleaner shaven. But also moody lighting tends to bring out stubble more than the fluorescent white lights of wherever Moss and him are.

    Give what you can.

Pretty sure the dialogue heard outside the door is exactly the same thing that was said when she knifed that dude through the eye in the before times.

idk if this counts as spoilers but the actor playing Bevel was credited in the episode. it is most likely that it was his character actually appearing. most things that feel dreamlike in this show end up not being dreams.

I thought that was definitely his voice, saying "ill get you and your kid" or whatever.

I bet stuff like that's happened before and Barry has killed people who were suspicious of them (hence the "are we gonna have to move again")

hader did an interview actually where he said he modulated like six different people from sally's life in the show together into the one voice. bevel, the guy she killed, barry himself, gene, and then two of the actors from joplin

I very much like how this show correctly portrays most institutional forces as incompetent and the protective arm of the justice system as mostly useless

When they luck into a positive outcome like somehow catching someone on the lam, it's all we ever hear about. Life isn't network serials, these guys are all terrible at their job

Was there a more TV pilled show than “True Detective” season one? Everyone thought there were all these incredible clues and it turns out people were just thinking too hard about it.

A good Mr. Robot one was

thinking Dom or Darlene or both would die in a plane crash. And then when Dom is on the plane falling asleep, "well maybe shes suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning in the cabin"

I definitely need to go back and see a scene where he envisioned the kid. I don’t remember that at all.

As for comparing Bulger to being on the run, that’s way more of a stretch comparison than thinking it’s not plausible that a) Sally would just jump on board with having a kid with him within the first year of being on the run, and b) Barry having as easy of a time in modern day as Bulger, who went on the run with a fuck ton of money and help from cops and the actual FBI.

I understand the desire to want to like every detail of this show up to here (I did), but is it really that unbelievable that a show batting 15/10 is maybe batting 9/10 right now at the ending, when most usually go down in flames lol.
