They did play Bamboozle West on one of the smallest stages there. Wild to look back on.

They also played Bamboozle at (then) Giants Stadium on their first tour. Pretty sure it was their biggest show at the time.

Here's the NY Times review of Bamboozle that year, where they call them a "(slightly) louder version of Hanson": https://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/09/arts/music/09bamb.html

I listened to more of it. When asked about the lineup he said that it will be "very headliner heavy" and that it'll be the "biggest headliners Bamboozle has ever had."

He also continues to make ridiculous claims that a bunch of bands/artists owe their success to him booking them. He also once again calls himself the "bad boy of promoters."
(and this is all within the first 25 minutes. Still an hour left hahaha)

Linc star opened their social media back up, deleting all mentions of Bamboozle and promoting events this summer. Guy should not be allowed to promote anything. All those vendors had to pay 10k for their spots and none of them have gotten paid back.

There is a lawsuit against John because he owes $630,000 that he borrowed for the festival and was suppoused to pay back in January

That’s the confusing part about all of this, dude somehow mismanaged everything so badly that he might end up living in a trailer. Like how many clowns could he possibly rent? Some of it went to bands but the rest, no idea.

D’Esposito and Bamboozle Festival LLC borrowed $500,000 at 20% interest from music executive Anthony Martini of Little Silver, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit said Martini and D’Esposito signed a contract on or about Nov. 21, 2022, that included the 20% interest rate as a flat fee of $100,000 and a $10,000 per month late fee provision if the loan was not paid by Jan. 21, 2023. The funds were to be included in D’Esposito’s “festival budget,” it said.

    Dude is fucked.

Gotta think this causes a bump in the road for Bamboozle’s expansion into Australia next year

Like, 20% interest on half a mill is six figures alone, the fact that it could be even more than that is..... just unbelievable for what the festival actually turned into. He must have been really delusional or desperate, maybe even both. He owes him like 150k already, no idea how he thought this made sense.

There are a million ways that the lineup he produced could have been very very successful. He literally handled almost everything wrong. Literally all of it.
