I got my copy of Chuck. Not very green or swirly. Haha. Sounds rly good though.

  2. I saw multiple comments from people on the Discogs listing for the green variant saying they received the wrong color, even if the sticker said otherwise. Dunno how true that is. But it could be worth checking out images of the translucent cream variant to see if yours more closely resembles that

Le Noise said the variants will vary if that’s who you ordered from.

Thanks. I need to check it under better lighting I think. Definitely green though.

I know that album is largely forgettable compared to their later stuff but it will always hold a special place for introducing 13 yr old me to a whole new world of music. And for introducing me to one of my all time favorite bands

  6. I adore “Softer to Me” to this day. And there’s still some fun stuff on it. But it’s also definitely a catalog completer/super nostalgia purchase heh.

Yea, I need that Relient K album. How’d you snag one? I haven’t seen one on Discogs each time I check.

  8. I saw it pop up on Amazon’s market for the best price I had seen in a long time (80 usd) and all prices on Discogs I’ve seen it over 150, at least, and I had a gift card (thanks work trivia game), so pulled the trigger, and while they shipped it like assholes it still looks NM/VG+ so I’m happy.

I went back and listened to it last night, what a great throwback

This will be Matt Thiessen on solo guitar, he’s the bomb!

Listened for the first time in years while cleaning last night. Ended up purchasing them lol.

Does anyone know why the track list for Bone Palace is like that? And why isn't Teeth The Size of Piano Keys included?

Ever since they came out with Grand Coda they dropped the song. Its easily the best track on the original.
I've always been so bitter about it >:-(

Whoa, I had Relient K's Charles in Charge randomly in my head all day yesterday, and then came in here to see talk of that first album. I specifically had the line "you, me, and Jesus at your mom's pizza parlor", lodged in my brain. Haha. Super cringe, but I love the earnestness.

I remember having the Matts and Brian sign my CD insert at Cornerstone one year. My friend gave Thiessen a four leaf clover he found and Matt just kind of nervously laughed and thanked him.

There was a deleted comment about the band No Pressure. As a result, the post in question looks like it's about Weezer, but it's not.
