I’m typically a “pixel games are best experienced handheld” kind of guy but wow something about final fantasy 6 on the big screen just hits

    FFVI Player’s Log:
I’m at the point where Kefka absorbs all that magicite and goes insane. I did not believe for one single second that the empire would turns sides so quickly, but I was still devastated when the emperor’s betrayal happened. The whole scene where he turned on the espers I brought over for the peace talks filled me with so much dread and despair.I’m about to grind a lot before I get to the next area. Idk what good levels are for different parts of the game are, but I think I’ll just have characters learn different spells.

Been playing a ton of Gears 5 MP along with Dead Island Definitive Edition and having a lot of fun. Looking forward to Dead Island 2.

Player's Log: So what I played over the last week was a game called Tiny Room Stories: Town Mystery. Finished 100% achievements.

Basically point and click fundamentals in an isometric 3D view, where you have to spin the camera to see all sides of a room so you don't miss items/puzzles. A fun, unstressful yarn.

GTA IV came out my freshman year of college right before spring break so I took my 360 on the train ride home because I couldn't not play it for a week

Is anyone slightly more interested in the ASUS ROG Ally Extreme over the Steam Deck? The better display got me interested.

I’m looking for a convenient way to reintroduce gaming into my busy life and a handheld felt like a good way to do that.

Switch or Steam Deck are the only two viable options, do not get fooled by any of these weird handhelds by PC manufacturers

Which would you say is the better of the two? No upgraded Steam Deck coming for a while it seems. I want to play Persona on the go.

That depends on the games you want to play. To me personally the Switch is the obvious choice. It does have Persona games, as does the Steam Deck.

if the industry can’t self regulate stricter regulations in the certification process we’re getting to a point where consumer protection legislation should be introduced to prevent companies from knowingly releasing a broken product to the market

honestly doesn’t even have to get as far as proper rulings in court, look at the loot box stuff that happened after battlefront II and I think you just need enough official push back to properly spook publishers into taking things seriously

EA statement was amazing to me. “It’s basically impossible to put out games that aren’t broken for PC because there are so many configurations”. Maybe you shouldn’t be making PC games then if you actually believe that. Call me old fashioned, but you should want to make products that, you know, work.

Fucking up is one thing, I get it, lots of moving parts, but this is worse.
