First post on here in a long while, but I came running to this thread to see everyone's opinions

I love it after first listen. Gonna try to snag a ticket for the Atlantic City show. The one thing that did stick out to me during the song though was Brians voice. He still sounded good, I was just expecting him to go crazy, but he was surprisingly restrained as some in here already point out. Still a fantastic song.

I like the song. Will spin it once or twice tops and then wait for the record.

Since people are talking about Handwritten - always made zero sense to me that the lyrics in that CD booklet were typed font and not scanned handwritten lyrics. Feels good to say it after years of thinking it to myself.

album 6 is 'upcoming' per press release I just got.

I feel like this might be a 'teaser single about a month before the album announce' situation. The Japanese House did it recently.

 

i mentioned this elsewhere but i think it’ll be like gangs of youth where it’s more like 3/4 months but still on the album

 

I reckon this lands by July/August. summer TGA just hits different. time to track down the back catalogue on vinyl.

 

That seems to be the move lately for artists of all sizes, wouldn’t be surprised

 

I like the sound, but why do the vocals seem so disconnected from the instrumentation?

 

they do seem a lot rawer than I expected yeah

 

Song is awesome and brings me joy. So grateful they are back.

 

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the song if I'm being honest. Not sure if it's the vocals/sound or the song itself.

Really enjoy it! Glad to have them back, ready for the full album announcement though.

 

I think with the context of Brian's solo career this song sounds right where I'd expect it . I think I read somewhere unofficially that this album was produced by the same producer who did Local Honey.

 

High expectations for this one....which were not met. The mixing/his voice, i dunno. Pretty meh.

 

Instruments/musically sure sounded like handwritten era for me too.
