So dumb. I thought I had finally found one that wasn’t a scam for a SOMEWHAT reasonable price. Oh well.

re: discogs. do your research into the seller, maybe even request pictures of the item with a time stamp of some sort before actually sending the money. with the influx of scams happening, think twice before buying something from an account that has no sales history (no star rating). obviously, there may be legit people behind some of these accounts that are new to selling on discogs, but it seems like any reasonably priced 1975 RSD item is more than likely a scam right now on there. such a bummer.

Yep. I’ve had two sellers for the 1975 album come back as bogus. Very cool shit going on over there. And the “reasonably priced” ones I tried getting were $135 and $105

it’s pathetic that a record was just pressed for the first time and released last week and we have to resort to paying $135 to still be scammed by someone. i feel for you on that.

The "reasonably priced" copy I tried for was $140 lol. The seller's account is a legit physical record store in Argentina with more than quite a few positive reviews. And I even reached out to a couple of their previous buyers in the US to confirm. It just appears that the account has been hacked and taken over by a scammer. Luckily my payment never went through in the first place. So dumb.

I think I just purchased some Turnover records from you on Discogs? Same user name. Thanks btw if you. Haha. If not you, wild coincidence.

i once bought an album by The Maine from Drew Beringer off Discogs. At least I’m assuming it was him since the name was drewberinger. It’s fun when paths cross

I almost bought The 1975 Philharmonic CD for $100 thinking it was the vinyl. Thankfully the seller was nice and canceled it.

My guest on this week's show will be Andrew McMahon.

Frontman for the bands Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, Andrew has now been releasing music and touring all over the world under the moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. I'll be chatting with him about his new album "Tilt At The Wind No More", the stadium shows he has played with Billy Joel, and more on this week's show.

I'll be spinning some tracks from his new record during the hour, as well as some choice cuts from his eclectic catalogue of music, spanning over the past 20 years.

Thanks to Andrew for coming on the show, and congrats on all your recent success.
