I wondered this too. Someone else posted this earlier but the BBC Session with Always sounds nothing as good as the Coachella performance:

I’m the opposite. I had begun to accept we’d be waiting a while and being happy they’re taking their time, but the Coachella shows reignited it lol

I’m fine waiting on a new album until later this year. The 3-4 songs they’ll add to the set would likely replace Don’t Leave Me, Dysentery Gary, Aliens Exist, Reckless Abandon, Always, etc knowing this band haha. Celebrate the classics and then tour a new record

Yeah, like I said before, absolutely impossible to know what the status is (even with him being in the studio today) without knowing their progress. Could be doing retracks for another mixdown of some songs because they didn't like them, could be finishing some additional songs since they got an extra month to work due to the tour postponement, etc. Or they could have another few months of working on it.

I don't even care when we get the thing, I just hoping there's nothing from these sessions that never sees the light of day lol. I want all of it.

Hey at least on the bright side we know for a fact they've been in the studio recording their asses off pretty much constantly since October. Unlike a certain lackluster reunion album that was emailed back and forth and took 2.5 years to release after they announced it would be happening.

Over 6 months since Tom said this was their best album ever, one that is probably unrecognizable now lol

Yeah, the work they've put into this thing has to be a fuckton at this point. haha.

One of the reasons I’m willing to bet when we finally hear this album it falls into a lot of top 3 blink album lists I just have this feeling

I am totally fine waiting because it seems like they are all bringing the heat. I do believe this will be their best since Untitled based on the synergy and investment they are all putting forward.

If feels like less of an unrealistic expectation and more practical clues pointing to a ripper.

Who knows…those 2 Coachella sets were surprises…. Maybe this Friday we all find a new album waiting for us on streaming ahead of the tour….

Those AOL sessions only made me go "ok this band is never playing Always or Stockholm" live lol

The announcement, tour, and single were all (very poorly kept) secrets. It could happen, but it seems like albums on big labels don't often drop as surprises. Especially with Blink specifically. Seems like a corporate stooge think tank takes over with the release. Definitely has felt that way since they reunited. NINE rollout was really really bad IMO. Neighborhoods also took forever.

I mean, I find it hard to get too impatient. My mind is still blown that we got a new song with their reunion announcement when it took two years last time.

Sincerely prefer them spending so much extra time writing/recording/focusing on this album than the alternative.

re: what will the setlist be like?

Out of pure curiosity, I went back to 2013 setlists before Tom bailed. The setlist was actually very dynamic IMO. It wasn't just greatest hits. 6 songs from Neighborhoods / DED. Plenty of nonradio / non-singles sprinkled throughout. I think this world tour will be strictly singalongs and hits. Hoping after this tour the following live shows whether it is festival dates or a proper album tour will be more for the diehards. I am making peace with the fact we will probably never hear more than one Skiba-era song in the setlist. Honestly, I want to hear as much of their discography live because they just sound so DAMN good right now and the hype is off the charts.

He played Wishing Well on the 2019 AVA tour. Was very cool to hear after all those years of not being in blink

Another thing I thought about with these past two shows: 6 songs from TOYPAJ being played. Seems like those wishing for a TOYPAJ anniversary tour are getting their wish semi granted

I would love to hear Please Take Me Home live, I think the only time was on the TOYPAJ/104 FEST show for me.

Speaking of, anyone else remember this leak before TOYPAJ came out?

I'm sure the crew gets there early to set everything up but seems like the boys gonna be rehearsing in Nashville soon
