fuck yeah dude. "Autumn Eternal" is a perfect record. Something about the idea of mixing bluegrass with black metal sounds super corny but he executes perfectly.

It means uninteresting

 

When I think of sterile, I think of squeaky-clean and overproduced sounding music. In the realm of heavy music, that'd be stuff like Cattle Decap and Necrophagist.

 

When I think of uninteresting I don't think of Adam D and Joel's amazing guitar work. Hmmmmm. Are you confusing them with bands like 3DG?

No I know what killswitch sounds like. Not my thing. I find them boring and bland. It's fine. To insinuate my problem is my taste in other metal is p ridiculous tho

I accidentally saw Killswitch once and they were solid

Atmospheric Black Metal is my 2nd favorite genre after indie folk which I realize is very strange

 

I'm kind of delving into it a little but I don't find it incredibly interesting. There's some solid stuff out this year that I've been able to get into like the new Winterfylleth and Mare Cognitum albums.

 

I couldnt imagine finding blut aus nord uninteresting vindsval reinvents himself constantly

IKTPQ's "Sharks In Your Mouth" is a metalcore classic.

In Flames' Soundtrack To Your Escape and Reroute to Remain are good albums. Reroute being the better of the two.

'The Swiss Army Romance's' lyrics are weird, as well written as they are. "And that face you paint is pressed, impressing most of us as permanent; and I'd like to see you undone." Like. She's trying her best dude. Leave her alone lol. But I think the song's more about the follies of youth than calling out a girl so maybe it's not so bad ;-;

The 'Noise From Upstairs' EP was the best thing Man Overboard released.

 

I enjoyed Reroute and STYE, the latter slightly more so. That riff in "The Quiet Place" is so good.
