so the rarities comp they put together is... not all that rare lol, in fact most of the songs are on streaming. slightly underwhelming but oh well

 

lol I still bought it

 

Even if they were very creative in their description of the comp CD they played very fast and loose with the English language there, I still think it's a pretty cool thing overall.

The new song with Phoebe Bridgers however is absolutely not my cup of tea. I probably got my hopes up far too high when people described it as Pink Rabbits-esque, as Pink Rabbits is a Top 5 National song for me, and I actually found it incredibly boring and had trouble finishing the song even once.

 

I won’t fall for the “defend the overall National by insulting High Violet” bait that easy. Sorry.

I find it extremely unlikely Matt stops roaming the crowd lol

 

Got to “sing with” Matt once in the crowd. Was incredible.

 

I have never had the opportunity to sing with Matt but I did get a close up view of someone trying to do a lolz goofy pose in front of Matt for their friend’s camera and security summarily flinging them to the side ruining the shot, which feels like a close second.

 

New Order T Shirt maybe a top 10 Natty song for me at this point.

I got too as well, then after he tapped my shoulder, passed the mic and told me to send the mic back to the stage. I loved it so much haha

 

First listen, yeah this is good. Love the opening track.
