Come to think of it, BTD kinda edges out any song on Neighborhoods, but falls short of some songs on Nine for me.

As for BTD vs Edging, it's a pretty even battle for me. Both shine in similar ways but lack a certain element that make them "great" or top-15 blink songs for me. Both are great songs and Edging is way better live than I originally thought it would be

We’ve passed the point where I can even tell if people are being serious or just trying to say the most ridiculous thing they can think of.

 

It's usually a combination of both for me, personally.

I know everyone hates Neighborhoods but I still can’t get over how much I enjoy Ghosts on the Dancefloor, Natives and Hearts All Gone.

 

haha i know, Frank is probably great. i've never listened to his music. but i don't think his and Blink's fanbases have much overlap, so i'm not shocked at all when i see comments from Frank fans being bummed about Blink playing haha.

 

Neighborhoods is a good album.

People who dislike it remind me of the people who dislike Taking Back Sundays New Again. Perplexing.

 

I can finally agree with you on something

 

I like New Again, but I don’t like Neighborhoods as a whole. There’s some great songs on it, some bad ones, and most of it just sounds like poo. If it had a proper producer and everything, it probably would have been better. But it really just bums me out when I listen to it.

The day it came out, my brother and I drove up into the mountains and listened to it front to back for the first time. We hadn’t even listened to any of the singles before it came out so it was all totally new and fresh to us. At the end of the album, we both just sat there and were like “Huh…” haha we were just kinda speechless. No real excitement from our favorite band’s comeback album was a tough pill to swallow.

 

Haha yeahh I definitely agree I wasn't excited by it when I first heard it. Really only dug a couple songs, but others grew on me over time

One song I don't get that seems to have a lot of love is Wishing Well. Just isn't for me

 

Take the New Again conversation back to the TBS thread. Do not bring that sewage in here too.

EDGING

 

I loved the album when it came out. It leaked online the same day my uncle passed and I listened to it on the 8 hour ride back to his funeral on repeat to help me cope. I tell you GOTDF hit so hard.

 

I like about half the songs, but I don't loooove any of them. I wouldn't put any song from Neighborhoods in even my top 50 Blink songs. If someone threatened to delete the album from existence, I would just shrug and carry on, I think.
