Coventry's goalkeeper just scored in the last minute! Always a novel occasion when a goalkeeper scores.

Worst ref performance. Always when City plays. Must be a coincidence

That would explain a lot. Remember 2 years ago against Dortmund when the ref blew the whistle right before Haaland was about to score on an open net and the ref gave a freekick for Dortmund instead? A CL ref cannot be so incompetent.

Of course Turpin was not responsible for us going out today. But as Tuchel said after the game: when you need a small miracle anyway and then on top the ref decides everything against you, that doesn't really help and makes it even more difficult.

Tbf the only reason you scored was an absolutely nonsense penalty

True, nonsense when using common sense, but according to the rules (especially how they are enforced in the CL this year) it was a penalty. Just like the one that City got.

tuchel can fuck right off with that quote, no matter how correct he may be. Hiring him was idiotic and he has been garbage since coming on.

“I’m very satisfied with both games against City, it was absolutely top. We went toe to toe with the best and most in-form team in Europe. We had them on the hook in both legs. There was a difference in self-confidence and form. For the few chances we conceded in both matches, we were punished. I don’t think the scoreline reflects the tie.”

you got absolutely worked up and down the field. Any satisfaction could only come from the fact that it eventually ended.

football fans are convinced every ref is against them so much more than in american sports. it's wild.

Idk, I feel like NBA fans are exactly on the same page with that sentiment towards officials.

Totally missed the mostly B/C-squad for Mexico and US played last night. 1-1 draw making five consecutive games vs Mexico without a loss. That’s fun.

That would be quite funny, but it means you have a very good shot at Nagelsmann.

(assuming Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t leave Real Madrid)
