Y'all trying to just sweep the whole thing under the rug by calling it a mistake as if he forgot to turn the kitchen light off. He made an incredibly offensive comments. They aren't jokes. They aren't mistakes. Stop treating them as such.

 

like mine? i dont see how it couldve been. i totally agree what Mike said was wrong. i just think we should give Brad a little more benefit of the doubt in terms of what his intentions were with his post

 

Also, y'all can talk about the music if you want, but don't stifle those who are made uncomfortable by Kinsella and some of the comments made in this thread. We're allowed to talk about that as much as you can talk about the music. Jfc

Right. i just felt like Brad was getting a lot of heat for having a view point that he didnt actually have. i can get why his comment bugged people. but i dont think his intentions were as toxic as they were made out to be. i just think sometimes we should try and see what people are intending to mean with their posts before we collectively look down upon them. Yes, there could have been a more clear post made that didnt leave so much to interpretation, but since he made that post, he has blatantly apologized for the thought that it may have come across in a way that he didnt intend. im just bummed out that we're all arguing because i feel like we all agree that what Mikes tweet said was an issue.

 

Sorry us continuing to talk about Mike's tweets bums you out so much. Go ahead and talk about the new album then. I know that's more important

 

It is annoying as fuck, and sometimes the way it is used makes it seem like nowadays we are overtly sensitive to everything, and nothing can be discussed because it makes people feel uncomfortable. I am not used to that.

That said, Mike's tweet was stupid AF haha.

 

Come one. i didnt mean it like that. its not the actual talking about it that would bum me or anyone out. its seeing our community argue over something that we all agree was totally not okay and wrong. dont make it seem like im trying to run from initial incident. if i made it seem like that, well, i apologize because that was not my intentions. does it not bum anyone out when they see friends and members of a tight knit community (such as chorus) starting to argue with eachother? that was my thing. listen, im sorry if any of my posts came across in any other way.

i think you and i just misread what each other were saying. it's as easy as that. i thought your post seemed problematic by saying only "men struggle with that", so i calmly made a comment on it, clarifying that isn't JUST men, like i thought you were saying. so you commented saying you weren't being general with your post and you were still talking about this specific tweet, and i apologized that i misread it, and moved on. I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear that I agreed with you, because I definitely said that I did.

 

I really wish people would stop saying something like "It wasn't my intention..." and understood the reality of what was actually said, not intended
