He had two feuds (Drew, Mysterio), traded wins with both and got lost in the midcard shuffle. I thought he was fine but they didn't have anything to do with him after Mysterio.

I turned Raw off before 9 last night. Once Brock came out during the opening segment I knew it was going to be the same old song and dance.

According to my good friend chatgpt, Brock could join the bloodline and they rename the stable "The Blood Beast Alliance". Lashley also joins them. Their first victim is Cena, then McIntyre and then Orton.

In a vacuum, I don't mind Lesnar beating up Cody. I'm not saying that doesn't work. It's just a worse timeline. By a lot. Vince has this obsession with guys like Cody needing to overcome the odds and prove themselves before doing anything significant.... and its always way way too late.

Strike while its hot. Wwe is allergic to this concept.

Raw after Mania hasnt been lit since Covid travel restrictions kept all the rowdy Britwres fans on their side of the pond.

It would be cool if crowds banded together and just chanted Fire Vince or something of that nature for the entire show for a few weeks. Sure they’d remove the crowd noise from the broadcast but I’m sure it would go viral.

That’s also kind of another thing too, the crowd hasn’t really forced WWEs hand since Daniel Bryan 10 years ago. Yes they got behind Sami but when he lost they didn’t chant for him in protest the way they did for Bryan. Probably because at the end of the day the storyline has still been pretty great.

I remember the 2019 episode being completely uneventful. I think 2018 was the last decent one.

Part of the magic was also lost once they began branding it as Raw After Mania because they’re just setting themselves up for disappointment.

This has already confirmed to be wrong. Sami was a comedy act in Vince's version...and certainly not intended to run through WM. He was filler, not THE story.

This is kind of the wild part; the Bloodline story got hot...some midcard stuff got white hot (Gunther, etc)...and people were so happy Vince was gone that they returned in pretty decent numbers. They were doing 8-10k gates at freaking house shows.

But no lie, I could see that Bayley tweet not being kayfabe and her just up and retiring rather than continuing to job under Vince. Especially after what happened with Sasha.

Also, there goes any hope for Miro to consider going to WWE

Freaking LA Knight was getting pops after Vince gave him a doomed gimmick.

It’s wild to me that even with how small the roster seems they still couldn’t find anything for Lashley, Bray, LA Knight or New Day to do and only had two real women’s matches as the rest of the women got hodge podged into the tag match.

And LA Knight might be the most baffling based on name alone! At least have him talk for a few minutes and interrupt Miz or be the one that fights Miz in a two minute match.

And I still want to know who the hell hired Shane back or snuck him in lol

    • Omos was in catering, and wasn't planning on wrestling, then there was a change and there was a rush to make sure he had gear to compete in.

In a way this maybe wasn’t the worst outcome because if he came out, because lashley would have just buried him. And you can’t have him confront the Miz or host because technically he’s still a heel. But they should have absolutely given him something

In theory, they could have turned him face by coming out and shitting on The Miz because the crowd already likes him. The mouthy smart-ass gimmick works better a heel though and they’re kind of short on those in the Smackdown midcard.

I guarantee you that the plan is to put Cody through hell and put the belt(s) on him at Mania next year. It’s the only thing that makes any sense.

I don't think you can guarantee that at all. If the point was a tortured baby face getting over, you put the belt on Sami at EC. If the point was Cody finishing the story, my word did they do all they needed to pay that off. I mean, the dude handed his weight belt Brodie's son...I just cant figure out how you convey more meaning with another year.

Also....Cody has no claim now. You gonna put him over at back to back Rumbles? You gonna have him win War Games just to get the shot (and is War Games even the PPV with Vince back in charge)? Does he have to win an Elimination Chamber? Dude tore his pec not even a year ago...thats a LOT of variables to introduce to pay off. I'd put good money on the answer being someone other than Cody at this point

I mean, last time this company did the "oops, he's not becoming champ" with Roman at WM34, the payoff was Seth kicking Brock in the dick in a 2min match at WM35.

Vince put Sheamus, Drew, Sami, Riddle, and Seth....basically all the guys who carried the company the last year+...into a match for MITB and put Theory over them on the same night he lost to Bobby.

We're just as likely to get Bron Breaker or some absolute nonsense breaking Romans run as we are to get Cody.
