I have no idea honestly. I would've thought the show/station reached out to artists, but I don't see why they would contact bands like Sum 41 or YC in this day and age.

One of their LAS shows was live streamed by Yahoo though.

I have never been much of a Yellowcard fan. I have enjoyed a good handful of their singles, and spent some time with When You're Through... and Southern Air, but that's about it. I hadn't seen them live until the NFG coheadliner this past October, and was really impressed with their performance. Most notably, I thought the two Lift a Sail songs carried very well live, and decided to check that record out when I got home, and it didn't hold up quite the same.

All that said, I love this farewell record. Maybe the finality of it plays up the weight of the sadder songs, whereas if this record came out somewhere in the middle of their life cycle they'd play more like your standard pop punk subjects, but regardless it really hits for me. I don't consider myself to be someone with an ear for production, but damn this thing soars. It's a major high point, everything is so clean and it feels like everything has some room to breathe. I'm going to check out Lift a Sail and some of the older records again to see if maybe that stuff will click with me now.

My all time favorite would probably be Hollywood Died. I'm always in the mood for it.

It's literally impossible for me to pick a favorite song. Varies greatly by day, season, mood, etc.

Hard to choose between Rivertown Blues, Five Becomes Four, and For You and Your Denial. i still remember the feels I got when they came back from their hiatus, and debuted FYAYD on absolutepunk.net. chills...

I'm not emotionally prepared for the Dallas show.

District Lines fucked up my order. Haven't gotten my CD...

Late to the party, but these are my top 10 Yellowcard songs:

    1. "Ocean Avenue"
    2. "Hang You Up"
    3. "Lift A Sail"
    4. "Be The Young"
    5. "The Sound Of You And Me"
    6. "Illuminate"
    7. "Shadows And Regrets"
    8. "How I Go"
    9. "Light Up The Sky"
    10. "Sleep In The Snow"

    (Honorable mention: 11. "Always Summer")

From the last album, only "Leave A Light On" and "Fields & Fences" have a shot at the top 10. Doesn't seem likely at this point, though.

Holy shit. That concert was so amazing! They all choked up during Be the Young cause we all had sings that said "We'll forever be the young". It was incredible.

What Appears is amazing live. So is A Place we Set Afire. Wow.

Listening to Lift a Sail now, this is classic YC, still find it hard to believe how many fans don't like it

I couldn't agree more. LAS is criminally underrated. I think the reason it doesn't get as much love as say Southern Air or Paper Walls with most fans is because LAS doesn't fall into your typical Yellowcard album/sound.

I think if most fans put it on repeat for a few days they would come around and be singing along to every word. There are way too many strong songs on there. The title track is one of the best songs they have ever written

Lift a Sail is an incredible album. I don't get the hate towards it. It's one of their best albums.

Agree on the title track. Top 10 song of theirs. Also love Fragile and Dear.

I wanted to share this bc I've been searching for this concert ever since I watched the live stream and I finally found it. It's from the "Lift a Sail" era and they play a lot of songs from that album in this show. Really going to miss these guys.
