Yeah he was one of my favorite rappers at a certain point and now I don’t even really get excited about his new stuff.

 

I have about the same amount of hype for Chance I always have had. Never has released a full good project, but when he is good he is great, and that is often times just as a feature instead of his own music haha

 

Oooh feat Redman was my intro to De La Soul back in the 106 and Park days. Just listened to it for the first time in probably like 10 years, it’s still a jam. So glad all their stuff is finally streaming.

Never thought i'd see the day when I wasn't interested in a Danny Brown album. The only track i've heard from it was way more Jpegmafia than Danny and it put me off the project as a whole. Just noticed that it's entirely produced by Jpegmafia too and... eh. May give it a spin, but i've not enjoyed anything he's done since Veteran.

 

JPEG/Danny album is great thus far.

6lack is pretty mellow but I like this lane for him

Never been a JPG guy, but the new one with Danny Brown is pretty sick. Time will tell how much I go back to it but I had a good time on first impression

Kota The Friend record is good. I tuned out of the last one a little bit cause of some lyrics on that opener rubbed me the wrong way and I couldn’t get it off my mind. I like the production on this one a lot more

There’s just something about JPEGMAFIA production but it’s always immaculate even if I can’t get into full releases

 

yeah he's a pretty incredible producer. not huge on his rapping and I usually find his stuff has 3-4 amazing songs and a lot of whatever. but dude is super talented for sure

 

Lol "Nostalgia" just came on a hip-hop playlist on Spotify and I didn't even realize it was Chance until I looked. He really laid the goofy voice on thick for Acid Rap and everything after, huh?

 

I've got a Good Morning Hip-Hop playlist rolling on Spotify and did some reading about Erykah Badu since I wasn't overly familiar. I know she's been called the queen of neo-soul, but I did not expect to see her have extremely similar controversies to Kanye. Stopped short of identifying as a Nazi, but she said she saw good in Hitler and supported Cosby and R Kelly. Bummer, I really enjoyed the song I heard.
