    Die rad.

By no means am I promoting this, just curious peoples opinions or thought on Wax Sabbath? Apparently they make a ton of boots. I've never owned an actual boot, but interested in one if it's a quarter the price of an OOP item. Anyone know anything about the company?

  7. I actually didn't have Same Trailer and thats probably my second favorite Kacey record so I was hyped about that. Totally agree in general though. I also have exhausted the swap potential of their back catalogue for my purposes at this point which doesn't help

  8. See I have a long-standing agreement with my wife that I won't buy records willy nilly that I've never heard haha (except for preorders of absolute faves that never miss for me) but maybe I should be a little more adventurous in my swaps

  9. I also am not knocking VMP in general! Their represses generally sound great, always look great, and if you're getting a gatefold that's frequently 2xLP and often has special notes or artwork $40 isn't bad these days. I just don't think I'll be renewing for now when my yearly subscription runs out in a few months

They supposedly are building their own pressing plant with consultation from Dave Rawlings though so they could announce they're pressing the three unpressed Gillian Welch records tomorrow (one of which is a top ten all time album for me) and I'd change my tune in a hurry lol

Didn’t it have something to do with how the dog cut-out folded out weird? Either way, that’s the only one I have too. An amazing sale.

Yeah, I definitely would have gone for that pressing if I didn't already have the record. Similar for the Nebraska repress they did. But those albums are not hard to find. Some of the predictions for their next crop of ROTMs (Transatlanticism, Pageant Material, High Top Mountain) are also readily available, even if they're great albums. I just wish they did more things like when they pressed those Miranda Lambert and Lyle Lovett albums last year, neither of which had ever been on vinyl before.

This is the kind of stuff they should be doing!

  13. That Lyle press is so so good. I did the Nebraska press because my copy was a crackly old 80s copy but not even an OP but again, agree in general

I almost went for Bruce for a similar reason, but my copy sounds good and is probably my 10th most played Bruce album, haha. If it had been Born to Run or Darkness, it would have been a different story.

  15. That could be part of it! Dunno why I’ve never thought to check the notes on Discogs, but it looks like on there someone listed the issue as “Misprinted copies contain incorrect die-cuts and cracked dog bowl etchings on side D”. I’ll have to check mine when I get home later cause I’ve never noticed

It's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't heard anything about my order from Sherwood's site, even emailed the singer (payment goes through his PayPal) and reached out in Instagram. Starting to feel duped.

I would give that more time. In today’s landscape of delays and more expensive supplies, on top of how long it takes to pack and ship orders, you have it to give it more time. I can say with certainty people reaching out too soon about their orders is something the people that do mailorder loathe.

Damn now I feel bad haha. I don't think I've ever seen it take more than 10 days at least get a label printed notice.

We’re they 100% for sure on hand?

They're in their webstore with no indication otherwise, so I would assume so. But considering it's just the guy's PayPal he's probably doing it all himself.

When it comes to vinyl, I just assume a delay unless it specifically says on hand. But if they aren’t on hand, I would make sense to say so on the product page. I dunno.
