Enjoy man. Its really well done. They review a few more recent PPVs with Maffew from Botchamania and he is damn funny on it. I know he's on the WM31 ep. Lemme know whacha think.

 

Spirit Squad had me dying. I really only remember them from facing DX.

One of my fondest memories of wrestling (and in general really) was when DX had their first match after reuniting at Vengeance in 06 against the Spirit Squad in the main event. My buddy and I drove down from here in Pittsburgh to Charlotte NC (we were 16 and he just got his license, what were our parents thinking?). We also had ringside seats and were on camera the entire time. Such a good time. Also ten years ago which blows my mind.

Other crazy things about that PPV looking back on it:

It was Kurt Angles last PPV match ever in WWE.

RVD was the WWE and ECW Champion and retained the title.

The legendary Kane vs Kane (Luke Gallows) match lol.

 

I got out of wrestling around 02 and kind of came back when I heard DX was back in 06. Then I realized it was just two old dudes and one was trying to kill his father in law without them ever addressing it and I said "wtf this is terrible" and turned it off again until about 2012 or so.

I was watching some of Sam Roberts' podcasts today out of boredom and came across this one from January. It really is so wonderful to hear Scott Hall talking about the business and the look on his face of pure joy.

 

Smackdown is leaving Raw in the fucking dust. What a fantastic Ambrose promo. Seriously, that got me so pumped, and I am a casual Ambrose fan at best. I also loved the finish to Corbin/Swagger - I have actually never seen a finish quite like that before. Sunday is going to be great.

- Starting with a match? Cool. Oh boy Kane vs. Bray Wyatt. The feud that will define Bray's career. Upside down Orton lol. These skits are so dumb but I love every second of them. Poor Bray can't even beat a bloodied Kane.

- Love Big Banter Corbin. Swagger is like every bad cutscene from the WWE Games

- I feel like the women still get the short end of the stick when it comes to having full matches, especially on Smackdown. But the writing is so much better on the show that its far less noticeable. Now, its a tag match okay. I'm still amazed by how far Carmella has come since the heel turn. She just works so much better and is actually enjoyable to watch now. Did not think Becky would be pinned. Interesting decision, but she looks great going into No Mercy. Fun match

- Seriously these segments are bad but still a blast. I sort of wanted Orton to turn around after locking Bray in and Bray to be standing there.

- Man Aiden, you really let your beard go. Mojo is going to get so over one day and I'm going to love it. This match is too long already, and its only been like three minutes. Get to the good stuff, I have an exam soon. Hype Bros win yay

- I can't believe WWE successfully got me to care about a Miz/Dolph feud. This has been spectacular. They should put the Dolphumentary on the Network. This is so great. Holy shit the cameos and everything, my God this is wonderful. This is the most motivated Ziggler has been in years. THE FUCKING SPIRIT SQUAD!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Smackdown has just beat Raw for the week. Holy shit. This is everything. THEY TURNED ON HIM?! BOOOOOOOOOOOOO Kenny is still in unbelievable shape. They should sign him

- Yo man, the Usos are such dicks. Cant even lose a match with grace and trying to injure everyone. Heath Slater to the rescue! Never thought I'd ever say that

- Bray just chillin in a storage locker, you know the usual. Paige totally redebuting on Sunday as Sister Abigail.

- When Ambrose wants to be the best promo in the industry, he'll be the best promo in the industry. AJ has been in the annoying brat champion role. He deserves a lot of credit for this feud program working. I love how now that Cena isn't on the road all the time with the company, they have someone using what Cena preached for years against him. That last line, Cena needs some ice for that burn. Oh this is good. Love that Cena didn't respond with words, I feel like he does that far too often and just laying out Ambrose was such a good way to go. Ambrose standing tall at the end! Great great show.

Last night I had a dream that John Cena lived in my building and I ran into him on the elevator and he had like, three grocery carts filled with a shit ton of food and about four loafs of bread and I was just in awe and then I woke up.

 

This is my favorite iteration of Cena.

I like to think that my dreams wouldn't stray too far from reality

 

This Ziggler vs Miz feud has just passed AJ vs Ambrose vs Cena as my favorite feud. Miz is just getting better on the mic each week, and there's a nice stip to it. For once WWE has me actually invested in what the outcome of a match is. And I have no clue who's going to have the title after No Mercy. My money is on Miz but i can't 100% say that Dolph doesn't win. The only way WWE could truly fuck this up is if it ends in a DQ for Ziggler.

 

I love that The Miz vs Ziggler is the most anticipated match on the card for most people

 

Even the dirt sheets have me really confused about what is going to happen.

 

Don't even read the dirt sheets anymore. Makes wrestling a lot more enjoyable.

 

JR says that WWE is going to be buying the TNA tape library but not the promotion. Curious as to how that works.

 

Miz vs Dolph would be the feud of the year if this ends with dolph leaving wwe forever.

 

Have you all seen this? Kind of cool. I like the promoting wwe is doing for the network lately. Took the long enough.

If it's true, Corgan will get the company and rebrand. He wouldn't really need the old shows anymore.

 

I stopped reading dirt sheets after last year's Survivor Series. Not gonna say all PPVs have been "excellent quality" ever since i stopped but it definitely made watch PPVs 10 times more enjoyable. The only one I've been truly dissapointed by is Clash Of Champions but i expected this PPVs to lose quality after they were bi-weekly.
