Huge respect to the commentators. It's one thing the pundits and ex-players doing it, but they're probably reputationally and financially in a position to do so. Commentators and production staff probably less so.

    It's all hell.

Sky and Sky News, literally founded by Rupert Murdoch is more balanced than the BBC.

The BBC has been a fucking nightmare for the last decade or so, complicit in failing to challenge the Tories at any fundamental level in their handling of covid, continuing to present Conservative funding neo-liberal think tanks on panel shows who helped fucking break the country with Brexit and the Liz Truss fiasco without being transparent about who they actually are, and continuing to be incredibly transphobic in their reporting on trans issues across all platforms.

They fucking suck and they can get fucked.

I also think it's hilarious that right wingers have been campaigning #defundthebbc since the BLM protests in 2021 because they think they're too left-wing in their reporting.

Like what fucking planet are they living on?

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I didn't expect MoTD to be the bastion of free speech in the UK, but needs must I suppose.

Both shots involved in that goal against Leeds came from their own players...some own goal that was.

    Question about gameday rosters.

Can a team include a second team player for specific games and send them back down afterwards? Similar to Major League Baseball where you can bring up a minor league pitcher for a spot start and then send them back down.

As I watch this Bayern/Augsburg game, one that Bayern should win somewhat comfortably, why not include a promising youth prospect like Paul Wanner and get him some first team minutes? Obviously, a regular first teamer would need to be dropped from the roster for one gameday.

I feel like it depends on the league and what their team registration requirements are. Then there is periods when that window is open and can be a little fluid as well. Some leagues allow you to not register youth players under certain ages. Most of my knowledge on this came from playing Football Manager lol.

Is there a more authoritative source than FM? Of course, the answer is no.

In the premier league all players under 21 are eligible to play in any game. They can still play for the reserve side too. They basically get automatically registered to a B list. Above 21 they have to be registered into the first team list.

Not sure our on field performance will match our kits tonight but at least we will be styling. Tough season opener going across the country to play a team I expect to be at the top of the Western Conference this year.
